I’ve started collecting my own examples of “my kids are always sick” from #SocialMedia…it’s getting increasingly more common to see these kinds of posts dominating my feeds.
I think it’s important to keep sharing this kind of anecdote, esp when it seems like everyone is desperately embracing the #COVID “being over” nonsense.
Dispatch from #Brooklyn#NYC — Someone I follow on Instagram posted this reel to their story; to be clear the OP is talking about “really bad allergies” and the person I follow is agreeing.
I do think that the pollen in NYC is really bad right now & agree that I never had allergies before I moved here…but can’t help wondering if anyone else still tests for #COVID 🫢
Despite being vocal about how important it is to advocate for yourself (in the form of asking people to wear a #mask or #respirator in your personal space), asking people to do so in real time can be intimidating. Especially when they’re both a stranger and a cisgender man 🥹
Luckily, there are still people who seem not to give a fuck and will do as you ask.
I see alot of procedural (aka surgical) #masks on the streets in downtown Toronto. It makes me sad to see people who care enough to do something, but not knowing what to do to stay safe: #WearARespirator
