The wife and I decided to go ahead and mow all 4 yards today since our next door neighbor was going down to mow his sisters yard(3 houses down). That way we get everything mowed, can do the weed eating and everything else before we go on vacation next week.
It was a bit hot, but not too terribly bad. Though it's only going to get much hotter over the coming months.
As promised. Moss!
I even grow my own moss in my little stream. No excuse for the lack of #mosstodon Look at it grow! There was none 2 years ago when we built the ponds and stream and now I am harvesting little bits of it from this spot to spread around the rest of the stream. #yard#garden#pond#PortAlberni#PNW
Hmm, no #yard#care or gardening for me. Heat index of 102.8F. I should have put the shade cloth back up, guess I'll do that quickly before my tomatoes die. #CAwx#heatwave#VenturaCounty
So my gas lawnmower died and I took the plunge on a 40V Kobalt battery powered mower. While I can tell there's s little less torque it gets the job done just as well.
Then my chainsaw bit the dust and I bought a 40V Kobalt battery powered chainsaw. I was SUPER SKEPTICAL. A battery powered chainsaw? You've got to be kidding.
It's hands down the best chainsaw I've used. No fumes, pretty quiet, and the battery lasts a long time.
How do you maintain walking / biking trails in the woods? Recently purchased a home with more than 4 acres of property. The majority of that is fairly dense woods.
