@Caiotekit I have thought of small anecdotes from this book over and over. When you are the caregiver it’s hard to see how you are being lead into some feelings, confusion and upset just by how your own brain reacts to another’s dysfunction. I’d buy and read it in a heartbeat. We’re going through a phase where son broke 2 pairs of his glasses in less than hour. He also tried to rip out the electric cable on a recliner. So many emotions! My #father held my hand as we walked down the aisle side by side. He wanted to go with me. The nurse gave me the door code and I was able to leave so that my father didn't have time to come with me. I waved at him at the door! #Greetings from a train to Joensuu. I'm on my way to my #home village Simpele. The purpose is to put Christmas curtains into my #mother's kitchen and some #Christmas lights in her living room. It's 8.30pm and I'm finally at #home. I bought my #father wall calendars so that he has pictures to look at, and my #sister bought a carpet and other interior items. My father disappeared for two hours today and someone in their village returned him home by car. It's good that everyone there knows each other so they know where to bring dad. Now he has a locked GPS in his arm and only nurses have the key. #AlzheimersSucks#alzheimers#alzheimersdisease
My sister called an ambulance when our father didn't get up from bed. Sister: "Do you know who I am?" Father: "Go away". CRP was fine. Nothing was found. Apparently this is a part of an progression of Alzheimer's.
