@ascentale a6 #hobocyclist recommends using the tubes as free tie down straps and that does work pretty well. I'm not sure on other broken cycle parts other than trash art, but metal recycles well. If serviceable there's many nonprofits that do bike builds for disadvantaged folks that would love cleaned working part donations. #bikenitea

Q1. Where are you posting from today? Have you experienced or thought about any cycle-related milestones lately? Past, present, or future. Number of trips, distance, location, type of ride, etc?
@ascentale A1. midwest USA. Made a few small trips this week, so while not any milestones at least lines are going in the right direction. #bikenitea#bikenitea1#bikenite

Q1. Where are you posting from today? What's going on in your cycle-world? #BikeNite#BikeNiteQ
@ascentale a1. Midwest as usual. Wild swings in weather this week, but mostly been nice to ride in. Planning on getting the trailer back together now that we are looking to be finally really in spring. #bikenitea

We'll start out with our introduction, inspired by comment from @rodbotic:
Q1. Where are you posting from today? What does a typical ride for you look like? Share a photo if you'd like. #BikeNite#BikeNiteQ
@ascentale@rodbotic A1. midwest USA like usual. I'm mostly a utility cyclist these days so it's going to work or a store and back, but sometimes a kid drop off too. Not much time for recreational rides right now. #bikenitea1#bikenitea
Q9. Would you be interested in a #BikeNite happy hour hangout (ie. video chat)? I'm not sure how/if it would work, but it might be fun to get some folks together one week for a live chat about bikes.

We'll start out with our introduction:
Q1. Where are you posting from today? Tell us about a recent meal :)
Q2.For people who keep track of trends: do you think the "new" 650b/27.5" size on road/gravel bikes will ever over take the more common 700c? It seems to be getting more popular, but maybe just because I wasn't looking at all for a while...
(And for those who don't know much about it, can you tell us why this new size has become a "thing"?)
@ascentale@SRLevine A2. I haven't really heard of the trend. I've recently gone into the 20" world with my foldie which is the opposite direction. One day it'd be neat to get a fat bike too for a winter bike, but my 700c hybrid is decent enough on anything I've ridden on. #bikenitea

Q1. Where are you posting from today? If you feel comfortable sharing, tell us a little bit about what you do for a living, something else that you do that's non-cycle-related (hobbies, etc).
@ascentale A1. as usual midwest USA. I work and have some hobbies in tech. Outside cycling, I like hanging out with my family, board and casual computer gaming, camping, and learning new things. #bikenitea

We'll start out with our introduction:
Q1. Where are you posting from today? What does the change in season mean for you with respect to cycling?
@ascentale A1. Midwest US. It's getting back into real March weather, so -5C to 15C, and wet, but hopefully finally getting to the later side of that temp spectrum soon. A few less layers and hopefully more rides, especially for my kids.
@bikescape has a question about local cycle organizations:
Q4. Do you belong to any local bike organization (advocacy, coop, etc.)? What’s the best membership benefit (service, swag, discount, etc.) those organizations offer?
A4. I'm a member of a few, the League of American Bicyclists, a state Bike/Walk org, and a local metro Bike/Walk/Bus org. The combined advocacy power is the best benefit, but all three also offer swag and discounts. My local org is very on the street active, from novel ideas like stocking up supplies for a homeless shelter via a bike race for the materials, running local event Bike Valets, and doing infra issue reporting group events.
Torque wrenches, Y wrench, Allen key set, mini ratchet tool set, etc. The quality is pretty good and doesn't break the bank. They don't have a huge amount of tools but what they do have has been really good for me.
