Wow that went quick, already had my for a year. And still feel it's an excellent car.

Range never got too bad even in winter times, and I still enjoy driving it.

It also adds to my 3/5* years of EV driving. Meaning that I've driven Electric* more than Petrol

  • Depending on if you count the Chevy Volt as Electric with Petrol Extender or just Petrol

@Ryanteck my replacement Leaf appeared on Wednesday. It's so much better than the BMW i3 I had as an insurance covered rental.
The leaf is a stunning spec car for the price with only one flaw: CHADEMO.

Are public chargers typically less reliable than others? Failed to charge on 3 of them today, had to drip-feed on a Type 2 for an hour. Not having a home charger I can rely on is rapidly becoming a nightmare.

Tesla’s Plug Moves Another Step Closer To Dominance - Charging an EV currently means making sure you find a station with the right plug.... - https://hackaday.com/2023/12/21/teslas-plug-moves-another-step-closer-to-dominance/

When we bought our Nissan Leaf EV in 2018 I read it was the most popular EV in all of Europe, so a bet on CHAdeMO felt safe. Fast forward to now and it’s pretty gutting to see banks of new chargers pop up which are exclusively CCS and CHAdeMO being a bit of a rarity.

There's so much in the comments section of our recent videos for the electric car, and in fact any car that uses as its charging standard.

Telling owners of older EVs to metaphorically just go suck it because their car's charging standard is no-longer used by new cars is antithetical to my entire reason for covering this industry. I'm really quite upset about it.

I’ve owned two LEAFs, and loved them. I don't love the way that Nissan handled the battery issues these cars had, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the cars because.. I DID.

Can you all help me understand why the world is so darned fractured and right now, especially in the ? It's getting me down.

Drove a fully electric car for the first time today and now I understand the campaign of explosion-based car manufacturers to badmouth them.

Why would you go back to exploding dinosaur residue when you can have the comfort, calmness and control that an all-electric gives you?

@yatil our car has an old plug, which will be gone at some point (as far as I know). So this is already a limitation. And just because it says there's a station available, doesn't mean it's working. If it's not working, you can call the hotline and they might be able to reset, but maybe not.

If you can charge there and the station is working, you might have to wait because there's only one and several people already waiting to charge. I've experienced all that multiple times 😅
