Are #CHAdeMO#EV public chargers typically less reliable than others? Failed to charge on 3 of them today, had to drip-feed on a Type 2 for an hour. Not having a home charger I can rely on is rapidly becoming a nightmare.
@M0CUV Supposedly there’s an issue with some instavolt chargers and leafs. Someone on speakev forum mentioned it. Instavolt know but won’t do much. Chademo is a tighter spec so should be more reliable than CCS.
@M0CUV Worth trying BP pulse ones if there are any as they're completely different hardware again. Any gridserve ones locally? Instavolt do need a rocket up them about sorting compatibility problems as there are a lot of leafs and just ignoring it isn't really acceptable.
@serichards there is a BP Pulse in the next town, I’ll try it later… am successfully charging at a CHAdeMO Swarco E.Connect near me that previously failed to read my credit card but now does. Driving it via the app is useless. This is all way too fraught! Really hope I don’t have a car fault. (But it’s charging now, and on a Type 2 yesterday, so surely not?)
@CenturyAvocado could be.. last time I tried at this particular place, one of the chargers failed but the other worked; now three are out of service. Despite being marked good on zapmap.
