I have a data security shortcut
to share with you:

If sensitive users information
is not kept in the database,
it cannot be leaked in a data breach.

Do not collect
what you do not need ⛔

Delete all data
you do not need anymore
as soon as you
do not need it anymore :nes_fire:

Do not require a phone number
in a form if it is not mandatory that you can reach this person by phone.

It is unnecessary.

It is not secure.

It endangers their sensitive data for no reason whatsoever.

If you had time+budget for training for newly hired web developers on data minimization...is there a good online training package available that helps you really get data minimization and think data minimization, and not just cover compliance steps that happen to work right now?
