The Gathering: Speck survived the night indoors. He didn’t use the litterbox. The Cone of Discomfort, he doesn’t enjoy. He’s walking and using his leg/paw without problems now. So, whatever it was was minor. He wants to go outside, but I’m not letting him out until the cone comes off. #feral#cat
The Gathering it’s been an eventful morning already. Last night, Speck showed up with an injured leg/paw. I took him in to the vet this morning. Probably a puncture wound.. Speck is staying to get spayed. Should be out later. I guess he’s going to stay indoors for a month.
The Gathering: The ferals are all fine and still show up every day to sit on the deck and stare into the house. They all, pretty much, ignore the goslings, although the kittens are curious. They, however, keep their distance.
Spring is finally here!!! The sun is warm, the trees are budding, and other little creatures are out and enjoying the weather too. I just want to spend all day outside 🌸🍃
The Gathering: everyone is spending more time on the deck now that the weather is warming up. They are still skittish around me apart from Marble and Oreo.
The Gathering: Caramel, the male who was always covered in scars and gentle, hasn’t been around for over a week now. I’m afraid something’s happened to him. The others are still visiting. Marble has settled into a routine.
The Gathering: Marble has discovered the joys of unraveling toilet paper rolls, and pulling towels off of towel rods when I sleep. The other members are still on the deck staring in. This is like an episode of “Simon’s Cat”…
The Gathering: Everyone is still around in shifts. Marble wanted to go out and play in the sun. She chased some leaves and bugs, then came inside and promptly threw up. I guess eating bugs is not encouraged.
The Gathering: I let Marble out. She visited and played with her family a bit, but then came back in. Now she has a new game: try and trip me as I walk up and down the steps.
The Gathering: Marble refused (read fought with tooth and razor-claw) to get in the carrier. I’ve rescheduled for tomorrow. Hopefully, I’ll have more luck tempting her with food. I guess that’s why it’s called a distemper shot.~
