CMY Tangled Squares, a work originally conceived April 2018 and been evolving and iterating ever since. The abstract works can be enjoyed far away as well as close up. Using only three primary ink colors, the movement and flows of the strokes endlessly flow across the page. Many see things is the swirls of line and color. What do you see?
Remember that sashiko stitching inspired design I did a few weeks ago? I finally tried plotting it. To me, it’s very reminiscent of chrysanthemum flowers. What do you see?
Plotted on a HP 7585B from 1983 on 11x15 watercolor paper.
A pair of my favorite jeans developed a hole in the knee. This led to me to learning about #Sashiko, a beautiful art of visible mending. This inspired me to create this plotter design.
Starting to play around with a new #PenPlotter design idea. Many ideas start out as very simple bits of code that evolve with each iteration. I thought I'd share the progression that I've done so far so you can see how the work changes. None of these have been plotted yet, they're just previewed on the screen.
