Took a free online sketching class from TobySketchLoose. It was really fun and took away my fear of going in ink first(no pencil sketch). Not worrying about mistakes, and having a bit more fun with colours. I’m not quite as free and loose with drawing as I’d like to get, but his class took me forward! #UrbanSketching#WatercolourAndInk#UrbanSketchers
2 rough scrabbly drawings in my sketchbook from friday and today. On left is view from the front porch, done while an electrician was fixing something I did dangerously wrong. On right, the local cafe. #urbansketching
El sábado, en la sesión con los Urban Sketchers de Girona en el Parque Montilivi de la ciudad hice dos dibujos. Son, quzás parecidos, pero en cuadernos diferentes. En este me gusta más como quedaron las hojas en el suelo.
I went to the giant soulless coffee chain to draw this. It's a close walk to home. This big sketchbook is feeling like a coloring book to me. Outlines with empty forms. Will have to adjust my technique somehow. Approx 5-10 min. #urbansketching
Day 2 of my enormous sketch book. This is somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes, probably closer to 5. People move, coffee gets cold, must hurry. #urbansketching
This is a cafe sketch from an hour ago in a brand new giant accordion book. 14 x 17 inches is probably too big, but waste not what you want not. When you draw in a book this big, the whole place knows what you’re doing. #urbansketching
This is a bit of my accordion #inktober2023 book opened on the coffee bar at the cafe. The front side where the technique was easier to control. Just like any project, I was able to finish it by lowering my standards. #urbansketching
