A sketch of Steve Hackett (guitarist for Genesis, a band from the 70's). Sketched this for no other reason than I'm a fan of that 70's mustache. My uncle had one, and was hip for a while. Both skethches are Hackett, several decades apart.

D Boon's (minutemen) birthday would have been april 1st. He was in our town a few times, did a great show and lived his values, gone way too soon. One of the performers I feel luckiest to have seen and met. Still love "King of the Hill". My sketch from yesterday.

My daily work for a job is digital now, but I always fill a few sheets of scratch paper during the day and keep them for some reason. Dinner orders, things written left handed, my face in a mirror. Almost a diary, I guess.

My from yesterday to honor Vivienne Westwood, who would have had a birthday Apr 9. She defined the punk look and style in the mid 70s. Punk was as visual as it was audible. The look she created changed everything.

Tomorrow, Feb 17, is Rickey Medlocke's birthday. Off/on member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, he was inducted into the Native American Music Hall of Fame in 2008. This is my sketch from a minute ago.

A.A. Milne's birthday was last week, Jan 18. Milne was my jam when I was a kid learning to read. Liked the illustrations in his books better than disney Winnie the Pooh. I rediscovered his stuff during covid lockdown. Milne translated into audiobooks is very soothing. My sketch from the other day.

This is kind of an odd project. The guy here is office manager where I work. He's getting married and wanted me to depict them as an older couple. Not sure this painting is successful, I just made up the pose rather than having good reference. 🤷‍♂️
