N70VC was parked over there for quite awhile on the ground (an hour?) it's torrential rain and pouring wind. I suspect the were waiting for an opening to mosey back to quarters. Heading off now. #helicopter#N70VC#SAR#Rescue#VenturaCounty
Really people, you should not be out on the trails on a day like this. You've got first responders flying in torrential rain and wind in the mountains... #VCAU#VenturaCounty#RemoteRescue#helicopter#hiking

HRRR says the rain event doesn't move into Santa Barbara until noon. But then it sees the high elevation spots above Santa Barbara/Ojai getting 8 inches total by 10pm. 👀 #CAwx#rain
Conejo Valley seems to be in the rain shadow of the Santa Monica mountains, based on the HRRR (which makes sense -- they wring out a substantial amount of rain when storms roll in from the South). #ConejoValley#ThousandOaks#NewburyPark#VenturaCounty#rain#CAwx

Hmm, I wonder if Ventura Beach RV Resort will flood (or when). Typically it's the first thing to be flooded in REALLY major rain events in Ventura County.#VenturaCounty#rain#CAwx
