Apple’s long-rumoured foldable iPhone could finally become a reality if a recently awarded patent is any indication. This patent hints at a revolutionary self-healing screen.
To be fair, I do see many problems with smaller phones today, at least on iOS. My grandfather regularly cannot enter credentials into apps or even use them, because they were not made for smaller screens and are not scrollable, or the keyboard (which can’t be hidden) is over the input fields. Mainly OS problems, but also formfactor issues.
Babies don’t have it better tho. My name is Ian (Don’t ask what my german mother living in germany thought), and some random ass neighbour of the allotment gardens of my aunt mispronounced it as “Ui/Ue”. So that’s my name for my aunt and sometimes mother now.
I didn’t even know Sony makes games, and I was pretty surprised by it, because I wouldn’t buy any game from them anyway out of fear of exactly what happened
Even worse, unlocking the bootloaders isn’t supported anymore since the edge 30. That was the reason why I got an edge 20, so I could use it much longer. So either they deliver longer updates on the edge 50, or I’m going to switch to the fairphone at some point.
I find it incredibly disruptive every time this page comes up and it’s never completely capable of restoring my tabs. Is there any way to disable it so that it will instead update when I choose to restart Firefox?
At least MacOS is more Unix-like. So yes, in nearly everything important to a Linux user except CLI-UX (Command line interface user experience, nice word lol) Mac is worse than Windows somewhat, but as I would see the CLI-UX as one of the most important things (in my workflow, which is based on Linux tho), Max would be better than Windows. But of course, both are trash.
By now you should know the drill: Most will have an extra day off. Regular shops will be closed, but gas stations, restaurants and so on should be open. Expect more people travelling around and on the long weekend. Cars, trains and of course if the weather is fine people will be outside doing fun stuff (or at least something...
“[…] switching the default search engine back to Bing […] from Google Search (or whatever other browser is set as default).”
Google is a Browser now, neat. And somehow it’s relevant in a post about search engines.
“Microsoft Edge, the default browser pre-installed on Windows machines, and Bing Search aren’t bad products by any means - they are solid alternatives to Google’s own Chrome and Search.”
They may be good compared to Chrome and now also Google. But even rotten eggs are better than literal shit, at least for most people.
If I see someone boasting about programming with AI, in 0.1% of cases they use it responsibly (as a tool to quickly get introduced into a topic and brainstorm ideas) and the rest of times they’re probably a script kiddie letting ChatGPT do advent of code or smth and calling themselves programmers.
