October 8: Robin Hood

-A little-mentioned fact about me is that I'm a massive Robin Hood buff. I've seen just about every film and TV adaptation (They range from "Great!" to "That One with Taron Egerton") and am familiar with some of the early ballads the legend is based on (The stories of Robin Hood were originally told through song).

This Robin Hood is an amalgamation of several Robin Hoods I like best, though I omitted the trademark hat.

It's Grey Cup weekend! The league championship for the CFL is being conested in my hometown, Hamilton, ON, between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Montreal Alouettes! Full Disclosure: I am a MASSIVE X-Men fan. I've watched every movie, and loved (almost) all of them. I worried, when Disney acquired 20th Fox, Dark Phoenix would be my last taste of this universe.

And then I saw the trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine tonight, and my bloods a-pumpin'! I don't know what Disney will do with X-Men after, but I am going to watch the hell out of this movie.

The Golgothan (Dogma)

-This past weekend, my modem died, and, as a result, my internet and IPTV went out. Waiting for a new modem, I dove into my DVD collection and watched Dogma for the first time in what feels like forever! It was one of my favourite movies in my 20s. In tribute, here is the Golgothan, the "Shit Demon." :D
