I'm going to give The Black Dahlia Murder another spin (stream). They were recommended to me a short while ago and I don't think I gave them a fair shake.
I could do a Metal Journey series of posts, but I don't think I will make for a very good music critic.
Maybe I will...I'll give their albums a few more listens first though.

Each album appears to be as long as my commute in to and home from work, so I'll can get two listens per day. The only exceptions are Everblack, as it happens, and Ritual. But I can listen on my lunch break too so..it'll be good.

It's Valentine's Day. I may not have a romantic partner to share in this day with, but today is as good a day as any to express my love for all of you.
I have dabbled in all forms of social media, but this instance is by far the best. You're all so welcoming, caring, kind, and supportive.
You all have helped me discover great music (notably Cattle Decapitation, Blackbraid, Vitriol, Sulphur Aeon). It's also a great place to share my own tastes!

I've been putting myself down every day for so long, saying anything good about myself seems awkward and uncomfortable. Putting myself down has become just a knee-jerk reaction, usually over nothing.
But a short while ago, someone asked me what my terrible qualities are that make me hate myself so much, and I had a really tough time answering the question. It's just become habit, or it's because of certain incidents, as opposed to myself as a whole.

I appreciate you saying that, truly. But nobody on here really knows me to the same extent I do. I can be kind of a selfish asshole (especially in the morning).
I try really hard to make everyone happy, at my own expense of course, but usually everyone winds up upset in the end and I feel rotten on the inside.

That's what is great about social media, others only see what you want them to see. After the latest...thing I did... I'm going to be more myself.

This is just who I am.
