I’m probably a minority but i would in a heartbeat. I stopped doing residential AC because the bills didn’t get paid that often (people just don’t like paying bills) and honestly i couldn’t compete with larger companies while still having to maintain my epa certs, gas reclamation charges and the cost of refrigerant alone .

I could be wrong but ass and pgs are image based and are “burned” because that’s the only way to make them compatible. Burning requires transcoding, end of story.

Why is replacement for home device controls so complicated?

I recently learned about Home Assistant here on Lemmy. It looks like a replacement for Google Home, etc. However, it requires an entire hardware installation. Proprietary products just use a simple app to manage and control devices, so can someone explain why a pretty robust dedicated device is necessary as a replacement? The...

I ran all my home assistants on Pis with the SD card + external database and never had issues.

How easy is it for someone who has no PC gaming experience (they are computer literate) and hence no steam library, to buy a steam deck and it be a comfortable user experience?

Awesome. I keep recommending them to people asking me if they should buy one even though they don’t game on their PC and i love mine but the last console i owned was a Sega so i didn’t feel like I’m really unbiased at all.
