it is actually hard enough to get a #nonsmart tv at all
there is this company that still make some apparently https://www.sceptre.com/ although they are not #oled and it has been out of stock for months (also no hdmi 2.1)
i had in mind to buy a tv to watch movies, but at this point i am considering buying one old #crt connect my #nes to it and keep watching movies on the laptop :(
@jake4480 i do not won a tv for over 20 years, so was kind of surprised with the lack of non smart devices, i should have known better this is just the status quo now :/
Did you know Monopoly was invented by a woman named Elizabeth Magie in 1903?
Originally ‘The Landlord’s Game,’ it was designed as a protest against the big monopolists like Carnegie & Rockefeller.
But it was Charles Darrow, an unemployed salesman, who eventually sold it to Parker Brothers after playing a version.
Parker Brothers credited Monopoly with saving their company. Magie died in 1948 without recognition. Darrow became very wealthy & his legend lives on. #history
@kristinHenry I do believe that this is a cross borders problem, every country has their silly way of making something that could be simple overcomplicated. I still wonder every time i have to deal with this if it is on purpose or pure incompetence.
