On Jack Dorsey's idiocy regarding moderation on social media, he clearly has no understanding of the social which is always moderated. In RL I decide where to go and who to mix with but online, where people come to me unsolicited I want a platform to recognize my free decisions over who I engage with and what I want to listen to. It is really very simple.

You can't ban me from your platform, because I've never felt safe adding my knowledge there (being a woman who codes).

@jguerra I was curious about the text analysis library you used, so I looked it up. It's labeled as AI on the huggingface site, so it really should have a CW of some sort on that post in the thread.

CW's aren't a punishment, on vis.social and many other instances, we use them as 'labels' and 'headlines', to help our community better organize what they read.

Also, on Mastodon, you can add a CW to just one post in any position of a thread, including in the middle of one.

@jguerra We can also edit posts here. So, if you wanted to experiment, you could try adding the CW to that one post in the thread.

It works in the browser client, but I'm not sure about mobile clients.

A lot of Generative artists, like myself, have struggled with the whole hype taking over the term.

Some folks have suggested "Procedural" and just completely dropping the term "Generative". Which saddens me so much, and it doesn't really speak to me somehow.

Right now, I'm leaning toward "Iterative" for my art. It works for both my code-created pieces and my hand drawn pieces...well, it works in my brain. :)
