I would hope that most people who have seen much of anything about industrial ranching would have a hard time not showing a bit of empathy.

Some descriptions of hell aren’t as upsetting as seeing how those animals are kept and handled.

Honestly there are so many skimpy outfits that I wonder if the people who are upset have even actually played the game of if they’re just being loud to make noise.

I thought about playing a lot of things. I spent about 2 hours in helldivers 2 and that was about it for the week.

There was some random video on YouTube about the original fable and I had the urge to play it again. At some point had received the anniversary edition on steam so I loaded it up. 30 minutes and a bit of motion sickness later I uninstalled it and went hunting for my actual original disk. Found it, installed it, and the options and controls are so much better… It’s amazing that they ported the Xbox version for the anniversary edition and didn’t bother to include things like mouse sensitivity, smoothing, acceleration, or really any pc specific options.

The main issue is that the camera seems to be connected to more than just character location, it seems to also be connected to orientation of some part of the character, like the hip. Combat is jittery as all hell, movement isn’t pleasant, and everything else hardly matters… I will be playing the original.

And then hilariously I happen across this article today about a free unreal 5 version of fable some fan has made. From the looks it seems like a prettying up of the original, but might not have changed much if anything about the gameplay.

After spending a bit of time back on the original, I can say that the camera controls are just naturally janky, though it is significantly worse on the anniversary edition and it might be due to something as simple as the increased aspect ratio.

It’s absolutely true that a lot of modern-day problems with being tired come from bad sleep habits. What I’m talking about is a real phenomenon that isn’t being in front of a screen too close to bedtime. This was true for me in my younger years especially, I ran on about a 32 hour cycle. As I’ve gotten used to my weekday work routine I’m much closer to a 28ish hour routine now.

I’m saving about 1k a month. Which means I should be in the positive in another 5 months, and back to house ready in 15. There are two free weeks in a year though, so that helps with the bill cycles.

Other than a rather extreme level of boredom with work and life afterward, it is going just fine.

I don’t know when life got like this… I’m saving and budgetting so hard there isn’t much wiggle room for anything else. Saving up for a house and all that entails is such a pain.

I have a few extra expenses at the moment which are basically eating up that fun money and I’m still recovering from a year of my SO being careless with our credit card.

Also, it’s not like I’m doing the ‘broke college student’ lifestyle, I do fairly well for myself and do get to indulge in some lavishness here and there. It’s just the mindset of each dollar spent that way is another one I need to earn later that really drags everything else down. My main issue is that I don’t really leave the house except for work, food, or other errands. Anything of that nature is a bit too large of a dent for me to even want to do without feeling buyer’s remorse afterward.

On the plus side I thought today was Tuesday, so I have that going for me.

If this isn’t an SCP, it definitely should be. That being said I’ve never experienced this and I spent an awful lot of time wandering in the wildernesses in Monterey.

I had seen it noted on the tracker itself… but it also doesn’t seem very unique or useful overall.

[Bug] Changed my Password on the Website.

And ever since I changed my password, logging in through Jerboa puts me in a shrödinger state of access. I can see my subs and local posts but trying to view my profile or post will return a "not_logged_in" error or ask me to "Login First", and then disconnects the login account I was on and erases the login details for it....
