Just helped my kid move into his Young Ones house.

It was “professionally cleaned” when the previous Young Ones moved out.

Also, the curtains in his room were hanging off the track, which I fixed.

Oh, and there’s a hook for a fire extinguisher, but no fire extinguisher.

On the whole though, it’s actually a pretty decent pad, that’s literally 30 seconds walk from lectures and 10 seconds from a pub.

@AuntyChrist If there’s a show on Channel 4 that I want to watch, I’ll go to the effort of finding a torrent, because fuck being dragged through their app, and it’s many hundreds of adverts.

Similarly, I pay YouTube £3 a month ‘from Argentina’ to make YT usable on Apple TV.

Fuck adverts.

    A mate from church is a baker with his own bakery. Today at mass he gave me a loaf of bread as a gift. I don't think I've ever been gifted a loaf of bread before and it's possibly the best sort of gift.

    Where season 1 dealt with Carmie’s demons while trying to keep The Beef afloat, season 2 really goes into what makes fine dining special, but without veering into the pretentious.

    Hey nerds, shall I tell you why everyone hates you?

    Because you do cool stuff like develop a way for non-HomeKit devices to talk to HomeKit, then you hide it behind having to install shit like Node through Terminal, and Homebrew, and then you get to a point where it's all so fucking confusing that you may as well have not bothered.

    Anyway, I now have Homebridge installed on my Mac, and I have Homebridge Camera UI installed, so I can run my TP-Link cameras through HomeKit.

    But I am FUCKED if I can work out how to get the cameras to talk to the UI because the language in it is impenetrable, and my brain is too tired to translate it all.
