I have a terrible confession.

I was years late to watching Monk, but I fell into the "I hate the theme music change" group before I knew there was a controversy about it.

It's not just that there was a change. I absolutely HATE that song. I hate the lurpy neck-bobbing way Newman sings it, I hate his vocal stylings, I hate the Hee-Haw tempo, and the ga-doink ga-doink piano. (I'm neutral on the lyrics though--it's the execution I can't stand.)

I jump to forward through every intro to avoid it.
