Dear Google,

When I search, I am not looking for The Answer. I am looking for sources. A search that generates only answers will be useless personally, and worse than useless professionally for me.

What I would really like is an internet search engine that works. Google did that once. Then they focused on other things and used it for ad revenue and it became the new Craigslist.

It would sure be nice if Google would reinvent an actual internet search engine.

Idea:

Bookstores should group fantasy with horror instead of scifi. Both fantasy and horror are purely creations of the author's mind; scifi is tethered to factual information.

If you need to group scifi, I'd put it with mysteries and thrillers.

Having managed a bookstore and worked in several bookstores back in the day: the categories are extremely arbitrary and permeable anyway, books are released with multiple categorizations, and placement in an actual store boils down to management preference.

There will never be a final decisive categorization because that's simply not the dynamic nature of human creations.

Oh thank goodness, the renewal of my E-passport has been processed. Next I have to renew my APIT.

I don't know what they each are separately. But I need to renew them both annually by May 17 to continue practicing remotely in other states.

@samhainnight Oh no my real passport I dare not even try right now. I have a last name they always screwed up anyway, then I have been married with a hyphenated name and divorced since I last renewed my passport. My social security account chose to line break my name at a different place than my other documents. Also I was adopted by a stepparent and then changed my name in my 20s to get his name out of my life, so my birth certificate is yet another wrong name.

@samhainnight PA is going to "Real (๐Ÿ™„) ID" soon so I will have to deal with all these layers of passport/SS card/birth certificate crap soon enough.

I'm certain "Real (๐Ÿ™„) ID" was enacted for some ridiculous reason like immigration "reform" or some other form of racism. I guarantee it. Now it's a bunch of barriers.

My worst surgical living nightmare is a walk in park, compared to what children undergoing surgeries without anesthesias are suffering right now.

I had multiple surgeries in childhood for my polio paralysis. During one foot bridge surgery, I woke up in massive pain & was screaming from pain & felt terror upon seeing my foot all opened up with blood, bones & everything else showing. I was sedated again quickly but still remember that clearly.

are the strongest kids in the world.

Sometimes I wish just one Republican state would leave the US to found it's own country.

Just one, which could try out all the book burning, closed borders, fewer women's rights, religios politics, non-scientific medicine โ€” so everyone could really see, what that leads to.

For years, politicians in Europe blamed everything on the EU, but I can assure you, when Britain left our union and became a country with considerable challenges, it crushed the EU blame game in many countries.

Now, I have always voted since I was first eligible in the '80s. But I want to post a reminder that there are massive systemic issues with our voting system.

We can each do our individual best, while also recognizing that systemic issues do not have individual solutions.

We do not have "apathetic" voters, we have massively, intentionally disenfranchised voters.

I've had a bad mental health day due to three nights of bad sleep in a row, and four days without a run. Both beyond my threshold! Wellbutrin can't hold it up alone.

Going to prioritize sleep tonight and tomorrow a run after dropping my son at school and before work.

And tonight, finally watching Pride and Prejudice and Zombies! (On Tubi)

I will be starting to create home vids for fellow , starting this month. Exercises will be as & as possible.

Several of them will be done in a chair. Some standing & others are laying down. I don't see many exercise vids made by & for folks available online. I got frustrated, trying to find exercise vids, made by fellow disabled folks.

So, I'm going to stop complaining about lack of them. I'll start to create them, myself.
