A much more nuanced examination of racial barriers in cycling for Black athletes. Among them & in line with my research, success of Black cyclists was not received as a watershed. Instead, they faced even greater obstacles as a result of Taylor, et al. successes.

Breaking Away & American Flyers introduced cycling to the American mainstream in the 1980s every bit as much as the successes of LeMond, Hampsten, Phinney, et al.

What U.S. cyclist hasn't envisioned themself drafting a Cinzano semi? 😁

I really appreciate this image. It provides a sense of scale that is often lacking in similar images.

Origin Cycle's post over on the bird site offers some interesting bicycle parts art from artist Luca Polesi (https://x.com/OriginCycling/status/1712139747295187239?s=20).

I love to see the creativity and repurposing of bicycle parts. Do you have a favorite work of bicycle parts art?
