First of all, this is a gross way to spin "Hey your parents have got to die sometime."

Secondly, a fair chunk of this supposed wealth is going to vanish into health care executive bonuses.

Third, we'll be inheriting a lot of assets, which isn't the same as "wealth" and a lot of us are going to be in our late 50s or early 60s.

Fourth, probate law is a fucking nightmare.

Also the idea the third party marketplace is a source of revenue is hilariously off the mark. That trend reflects Amazon's desperation to get OUT of retail, because it is not profitable at all to sell you tangible objects at this point, but if it just quit selling shit tomorrow it'd be economic chaos and Jeff Bezos would be in jail.

People don't seem to understand that most capitalist enterprises are either not profitable at this point, so close to it they might as well just become nonprofits, or so completely dependent on government support that they're basically being slowly nationalized.

Increasing issue on American broadcast TV too. The free ad-supported streaming services, on the other hand, just seem to be completely incapable of selling advertising at all. Pluto over here has endless "We'll be right back" loops and bizarre make-goods where a clip of a college basketball game is run to feature the ads surrounding it.

This isn't even a hard problem to solve. Team up with local community colleges and high schools and have local kids shoot and edit the ads on their phones. Donate some gear and dedicate a percentage of your ad time to PSAs. Even some dude talking about his business with a panning shot of his storefront is better than "WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK!"

Part of the economic problem right now is that there are a lot of rich Boomers and they're relatively immune to what's affecting the rest of us. I'm in a pretty affluent household and it might literally make more financial sense for me to buy a home in rural Tuscany and rent that shit out than it does to try and buy a home where I actually live.
