@michaelsteeber has already made the best maps app for Apple Vision Pro. BitMaps is amazing. I mean, this is what Apple should’ve shipped the native Maps app on day one, and they blew it.

My app, Citations, just got rejected by App Review because I mentioned Apple Vision Pro in the goddamn release notes. WHAT?! How is Apple Vision Pro “pre-release” when I can buy it?

Also, ALSO, Apple Vision Pro is marketed on THE FRONT PAGE of the App Store!

No wonder everyone is pulling their apps off of this thing! What the hell is this moronic policy? When can I submit and not get rejected?

Hi. I have a really stupid #SwiftUI question.

Do you see this footer thing in System Settings? Yeah, how do you do that?

Putting the text inside the form with .formStyle(.grouped) does not do what I want. Placing the text outside the form is fine, but the colors aren't the same and that honestly looks worse.

I love SwiftUI but this is a real head scratcher.

Long-shot question, but is there some way for #BBEdit to replicate this auto-indentation from TextMate (and like every other editor)? Writing #Python in BBEdit is such a tedious process because I have to indent manually and that causes many “IndentationError” errors.

The personalized Apple Music station I think is Apple Music's best feature. I do wish it acted more like a never-ending playlist instead of a station, however, similar to the “Autoplay” feature, where you can rewind and see which tracks are coming next.

Here's hoping for iOS 60 (more like visionOS 37) when we're all dead and gone and our great, great grandchildren finally remember that “Music” is an app Apple makes.

CNET has gone to shit. Truly. Which is a real shame — CNET used to be the tech news website, alongside The Verge (This Is My Next) and Engadget (where This Is My Next came from). Now, it's SEO spam written by AI bots to get you to click affiliate links.

They know what gets the clicks, they know they don't have to exert effort writing that content themselves, and they know how to make money from those clicks. It's dirty, cheap, and frankly disgusting. Shame.

I hate this. Looks really good on macOS but terrible on iOS.

I wrapped the form in a VStack with the tip view and because of the way macOS renders forms it looks pretty good, but iOS does it differently and now I have to figure out a different solution.

Super basic #Swift / #SwiftUI question that I'm embarrassed to ask but ya only learn one way so here we go:

I would like to use TipKit in my SwiftUI app that runs on iOS 16. TipKit is only available in iOS 17. So, I'm using if #available and #if canImport().

However, Swift is not happy and says “Statements are not allowed at the top level." Do I even need to use if #available in the completely separate Swift file I'm doing TipKit stuff in? Or just where I place the tips in the App file?
