Wayland Nvidia compatibility will be here soon™ Nvidia drivers needed explicit sync, which was not supported in Wayland. However, explicit sync has been merged into the Wayland protocol and should be here shortly. Gnome 46.1 already ships with it.
I do not understand fully but maybe drivers need a bit of configuration too to use this? I’m not sure of all the steps but it should be here soon
Try it! You can buy a 1:72 model for just a few euros and for a few more, model glue and some acrylic paints. Do use model paints, as general cheap acrylic paints don’t cover small models properly with thin layers!
I have installed lutris & gamescope as flatpaks, however when I try to launch games (namely gta sa & mod organizer 2) with the gamescope setting enabled, they simply fail to launch. Is there something I am missing?...
I think gamescope needs a Wayland session, as it renders games in their own Xwayland “screen”. Mint does not use the Wayland session by default, but the old X11 one. I think Mint added an “experimental” Wayland session recently, so you could try to enable that.
MAN-Portable Air Defense (System). Basically a tube with optics that you can use to fire an anti-air missile from your shoulder. Stinger and Strela are some examples
Sure, some probably do. And you can be sceptical and discuss why that’s a dangerous and undemocratic direction. Effective Altruism is a question, not an answer. In thr community, asking for and being open to critical feedback is encouraged as the main tenet of good culture.
But if you look at the amounts, most EAs donate most to helping the poorest people alive today. Because it is so obviously good, and proven to work with high certainty.
Yes but at least Hue (and IKEA and LIDL and many other brands’) lights work well with open Zigbee coordinators, like deconz and ZHA in Home Assistant.
I wish there were more Zigbee and Zwave and less WiFi IoT devices too. I don’t even have a Zwave coordinator because I never found anything I wanted with Zwave support.
Mostly yes. Iraq has a democratically elected Shia government. But Iraq has very good reasons to hate Iran too.
For the others, it seems to be Iran’s stirring up of Shia rebellions inside their territory and how easily they will unilaterally decide to shoot at ships when they need their population to hate the US more than their own government.
Buy a second hand joystick for 30 bucks. Download DCS World (free), in the meantime book the week off and start binging Chucks Guide, then trial a full fidelity jet (2 weeks free trial). We have F-14A and B, F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18C, Harrier II, Mirage 2000C, Mirage F1, F-5E, MiG-21, MiG-19, MiG-15, F-86 and the JF-17. Proceed to dive into the rabbit hole, it should go effortlessly from there on.
You will not only understand, you will hear memes about Sidewinders. rrrrGiiiiiiiiP
I know I do this but it’s so hard not to. I (don’t, according to the psych) have ADHD, or am very close to it. I am so painfully aware of how annoying I am, and yet it seems impossible to not be annoying. I always ask people to literally tell me to shut up when I’m too much.
That sounds exactly like how we talk in my family. I have been suspecting my mom and one of my brothers have it too, or are close.
I’m sorry for hijacking the autism post with ADHD. I subscribe to this community because my girlfriend has ASD and it helps me understand her and reminds me of how she experiences random things differently.
I was a long time Windows user, starting with XP. I only tried Linux a few years ago, and while I loved it, at the time I had to dual boot for a couple specific Windows only things (VR and flight/racing sim hardware)....
I am like you but a year behind. I hope to get there too at some point. Switched to Linux for the majority of my pc use and a lot of games. But my VR flight sim and the occasional racing is holding me back. I have an HP Reverb G2 (Windows Mixed Reality) headset which doesn’t work very well on Linux (yet?) and an Nvidia RTX 3080.
There doesn’t seem to be an ideal Linux VR setup yet, now that SteamVR still does not work with Wayland. Hoping they’ll fix it and then I can sidegrade to a Valve Index and an RX 6900 XT and be set. I don’t like the complexity and latency of wireless streaming.
This works marvelously with the mechanics of the “spell”.
The “Shield” spell blocks weapon attacks AND Magic Missile. Maybe that’s because the missile is not that magical in actuality.
The only thing that is magical about it, is that it always hits. But IDK, if you use a modern anti-tank or anti-air missile against a fantasy monster, they’d need to have some very specific countermeasures to make it miss. So basically, the non-magic missile always hits.
Oh and it does “force damage”, meaning nothing is immune to it. I don’t know how much depleted uranium is needed to bypass immunities, but I’m sure that can be arranged.
This is the first time that I’ve tried to start customizing my system - beyond using a global theme from the KDE store. There’s still a few things that I’m trying to figure out. For example, I’m not the biggest fan of the KDE panel I have at the top. I want it to look nice but also be practical and fit in my workflow....
