GeoGio7,

Personally I always thought it was just because it looked good, like it’s stylish and esthetically pleasing. But now as an adult I realize that for a lot of people it is about that connection to younger girls. Gross.

How to work with someone that regularly arrives as the wrong answer?

I work with a person that went presented with a problem, works through it and arrives at the wrong solution. When I have them show me the steps they took, it seems like they interpret things incorrectly. This isn’t a language barrier, and it’s not like they aren’t reading what someone wrote....

GeoGio7,

Maybe try and see if they are suffering mentally? Mental illness like depression can slow down brain processes.

Canadian photographer Francois Brunell searches and photographs similar people, but who are not related to each other. He has currently done about 200 couple portraits.

Canadian photographer Francois Brunelle spent 12 years tracking down real life Doppelgängers — two individuals who are not related but could pass for identical twins — and photographing them. He calls his project “I’m Not a Look-Alike,” and it’s starting to get some well-deserved attention....

GeoGio7,

I think he’s going for a more subtle similarity. Like they look like they could be related but necessarily twins.

GeoGio7,

He’s extremely charming and extremely skilled with firearms lol he’s also a former famous actor and loving husband and father.

GeoGio7,

Haircut sure, tan tho?? What are you 45? He also needed some different glasses and maybe hit the gym more. I hate how that makes me sound haha

GeoGio7,

Oh god I’ve been exposed.

GeoGio7,

Hey I think corpses are sexy

GeoGio7,

My parents are lovely and supportive but they’re old and cranky and neurotic too. Because I live at home I’m always involved with family drama and seeing their health deteriorate is also stressful.

GeoGio7,

Fuck all these disgusting true crime documentaries regardless whether or not they use AI

GeoGio7,

Wtf I thought vice was a journalism website, this feels more like a buzzfeed article

GeoGio7,

Didn’t he pardon a bunch of people?

GeoGio7,

Da fuck? Are you literally advertising for oatly right now?

I find the """man up""" school of thought generally works for me when faced w a tough situation but 97% of the time it's presented as an obnoxious show of bravado. What are better ways to phrase this?

like, if i’m feeling bad but force myself to do something, i usually feel better. how to maintain the usefulness of this advice without presenting it as ‘fuck your feelings’, in that usual arrogant right wing sort of way

GeoGio7,

Where there’s a will there’s a way, you got this. Be tough.

GeoGio7,

Gender doesn’t have to dictate your personality, your wants, needs and the way you dress. Stop thinking so much about your gender and just do whatever the fuck you want.

GeoGio7,

Why are you assuming I don’t know anything about this topic? Also this person is not trans they’re bigender. There’s a distinction and conflating one with the other is offensive. I have friends who are actually trans and this is not the same.

GeoGio7,

Hahaha no they don’t. There’s only a select few countries with mandatory service too.

GeoGio7,

Very unstimulating and dull in my opinion

GeoGio7,

At least someone’s getting some. Hell I’m even constipated

GeoGio7,

It’s important to understand that being on dating apps is not the same as dating in real life. We often see people in more superficial ways on apps and judge them in a way we wouldn’t necessarily do in real life.

Women looking at men that way in dating apps is definitely a reflection on how they do in real life but it’s amplified quite a bit.

Men are the same. How many times have you swiped left on a girl just because you didn’t think she was attractive? She seemed really cool and like someone you’d get along with but she just wasn’t attractive.

This again is a reflection on how men view women in real life but amplified. In real life you wouldn’t be that harsh.

It’s important to stay grounded and remember that everyone is just a stupid human who thinks they know what they want and may put high expectations on someone but often doesn’t take a moment to think ‘Am I all that though?’
