I'm so incredibly sick of this mentality, and it needs to change.
Just because one group of people have been treated poorly in the past, doesn't mean the solution is to treat a different group badly in response. Tit for Tat isn't the way forward.
So, I see r/NZ is back. That's it? What an anemic protest. I guess I'm honestly surprised more people don't care. I expected the protest to go on longer, but I guess I overestimated how much the average user cared about this....
As Watling himself puts it: “Unhardened UAVs are disposable tools like munitions and get consumed very rapidly. You need them in your force and you need them to be cheap.”...
My view, is while this may not help with recidivism, it will allow us to put these people behind bars for as long as we possibly can, and postpone the inevitable.
I've wanted to make this video for a few years, and finally had the opportunity to. We arrived at high tide, and had enough daylight for me to then walk around at low tide and take a number of photos, which I've edited into the video....
You turkeys actually spend more on your shitty healthcare system than you would if you had socialised healthcare, aid for Ukraine isn't the reason for that.
There has been a lot of discussion about what we should or should not allow in our community. This is not a thread to tell you about a decision, this is a thread to ask your opinion about what is acceptable, and collate this in one place....
The other question that needs to be asked, in my view, is does this comment actually contribute to the discussion at hand? Attacking a politician and criticism their policies is one thing, merely insulting their appearance doesn't add anything.
I'm still suspended over there, so there's not much point going back straight away. There's a handful of subreddits that are worth going back for, although I'm not sure if dealing with their app is worthwhile.
There are some posts about it on ckiwi on reddit. I'm told Lemmy was founded and created by people with strong political opinions, Marxism, Leninism and communism. Glad to support it....
We no doubt have a large amount people here interested in the outdoors, I would like to formally request an "outdoors" thread be created for this instance?
That's the idea, yes. I've found people tend to be multi disciplinary to some extent, kayakers will often do whitewater as well as ocean paddling, and I do know people who also to tramping etc.
This would be more to discuss trips and scenery in terms an outsider can understand.
So Luxon, whilst bashing the gov about the clean car scheme and it being used to buy teslas, whilst owning his own tesla, whilst being a very rich person, was asking the crown to buy him another tesla. Sigh.
