These articles fail to point out the reason the Iowa Capitol has a satanic display is because it also has a christian display.
The Satanic Temple exists only to proposition the government to allow the Temple to do similar things they allow christians to do. They don’t proposition the government to do anything unless a christian group has done it first. If what they’re doing upsets you–that’s the point. The idea is to show how the government shouldn’t be allowing any form of religious displays or religious arguments.
Also, it gets pointed out all the time, but members of the Satanic Temple don’t actually worship satan. Their name and symbols are simply meant to offend christians.
A friend of mine loves being in his backyard but hates the mosquitoes. He heard about this bat roost thing and installed one about 5 years ago. It has not attracted a single bat.

There’s a string stating that the code should not be passed or the employee will be fired. I’d assume this was a test to see if an employee meant to be doing code review was actually doing them. Spoiler, they were not, as OP said they found this in production code.
This was tried in court. The response from the judge was “If the man is dead, then he cannot petition the court. If the man is not dead, then his life sentence has not been served.” An excellent exchange of sophistry!
Most instances don’t have a specific copyright in their ToS, which is basically how copyright is handled on corporate social media (Meta/X/Reddit owns license rights to whatever you post on their platform when you click “Agree”). I’ve noticed some people including Copyright notices in posts (mostly to prevent AI use). Is...
On top of all comments generally being copyrighted by their author automatically, the licence at the bottom of a comment is like a no trespassing sign. The sign itself doesn’t stop people from trespassing. You still need to call police when someone trespasses. If you never call police then the sign is literally useless.
The licence is the same thing. If someone includes it at the bottom of all their comments, but never launches legal action when someone violates that licence agreement, then it’s literally useless. Given that launching legal action is incredibly expensive, I highly doubt the people using these licences will ever follow up. Also, how will they even know? How will they know a company used their comment as training data for their commercial AI? How are they going to even enforce the terms of the licence?
It’s because it’s not AI. They’re chatbots made with machine learning that used social media posts as training data. These bots have zero intelligence. Machine learning and neural networks might lead to AI eventually, but these bots aren’t it.
Too many people got trolled into “removing the French language pack” on Linux systems that there’s now a check to see if someone is deleting every file off their computer (including the os system files). --no-preserve-root is the option you need to include to actually delete all the files off your system.
When you watch CNN or MSNBC, you generally see an account of a trial that never took place. They spin the events so much that reality is totally distorted.
The media lies in their reporting, but not me! I’m telling the truth!
There is absolutely no good reason why a trial of this importance, or any trial, should not be televised live and in real time. Allowing the public to see their courts in action is the best guarantee of fairness.
The jury is anonymous and has been told not to reveal their identities because they could be put into danger by Trump fanatics. Trials don’t need vigilante justice. The trial already has a jury and a judge. They are the deciders of the outcome. If trump doesnt like the outcome he can appeal to different judges who will review to see if errors in process and judgment were made. That’s how the law works. Trump doesn’t get special rules.
Please put an NSFW tag on this. I was on the train and when I saw this I had to start furiously masturbating. Everyone else gave me strange looks and were saying things like “what the fuck” and “call the police”. I dropped my phone and everyone around me saw this image. Now there is a whole train of men masturbating together at this one image. This is all your fault, you could have prevented this if you had just tagged this post NSFW.

42 current national emergencies. One has been in existence since 1979 (sanctions against Iran), and both of Bush’s emergencies declared after September 11 are still active (one which gives the president the authority to control state national guard).
Some Canadian provinces have logged a jump in unclaimed dead bodies in recent years, with next of kin citing funeral costs as a growing reason for not collecting loved ones’ remains....
Former funeral director. How to leave a body unclaimed was an unfortunately common discussion I’ve had with people. It starts with “What is the cheapest option?” Followed by “What if I can’t afford that?”
It makes no sense that the government won’t assist a family with burial expenses but will pay to bury an unclaimed body. The Canada Pension Plan death benefit is only $2,500. It’s taxable and the amount has not increased in over a decade. The cheapest funeral options now cost about $3,000 - $4,000. People shouldn’t need to worry about their financial situation immediately after their loved one dies.
