If we do this everywhere it will make for a much better future. High density, walkable cities are so much nicer to live in than suburban sprawl car dependent cities
I also roasted my garden earlier this summer and had to replace about half the garden with store plants… just so damn hot and sunny in the Midwest this year
Because they’re cheap and look “modern/futuristic” so shit manufacturers love them. I have also used electrical tape on power strips, chargers, smoke detectors, etc

Most of those probably just don’t like that their kids are on it all the time. At least some do understand that the real threat is all the data it is constantly collecting from our cameras and microphones as well as location data. It’s not limited to kids either, plenty of adults in jobs that should be secure are walking around with a Chinese wiretap/homing beacon in their pocket.
You’re leaving out that Digg had been hemorrhaging users to Reddit for years due to better features and therefore better content. Diggv4 was just the final nail
There are certainly many here that are vocal about reddits animosity towards users and good apps that sent us here. I left for good when Apollo stopped working
While I was asleep, apparently the site was hacked. Luckily, (big) part of the lemmy.world team is in US, and some early birds in EU also helped mitigate this....
Yea but if Perez shits the bed the rest of the year there’s a good chance they take a closer look at ricciardo. If Perez is still failing come summer ‘24 SOMEONE else will be given the chance surely
I’m dying at the thought of 6 pointless races lol I guess there’s still money to fight over and wind tunnel time for next year but most people won’t sit on the edge of the couch excited over 3% more wind tunnel time
Content so far is a bit less full than Reddit but we’ll get there as people come over. Curating a “home” page is also more difficult and the “r/all” in memmy at least is all over the place with age of articles coming up
The entire world should be assisting them and other hosts of rainforests into protecting these vital ecosystems. Attenborough is not exaggerating to call them the lungs of the planet
It going to the pub and eating unhealthy food IS British culture. It would take a miracle to get the lads to not put down a few pints and something fried every night
We can’t really arm them though, arming a nation defending itself from invasion and arming rebels are too very different things. Russia deserves getting a its teeth kicked in for its repeated aggression against former soviet states, but arming its rebels would compel justify them in declaring war against whoever did that imo
This granny loving fuckboi really needs to get his shit together. He’s ruining France and trying his best to ruin everything else in his strange desire to bend over backwards for Xi, Putin, and Erdogan
It’s mostly the technically adept people here, we’re naturally more aware of security/privacy issues present in tech spaces and are angry that the masses are so oblivious or uncaring of the problem. Especially when that problem keeps ruining our online spaces or putting us at real world risk by letting apps use their cameras/mics/locations all the god damn time
Last I saw the anticipated production start of that project is in the early 2030s so talking about it now is kinda moot. Whatever vehicle I buy now will be dead or near death by the time this hits dealerships
Not sure if mini gaming and resin prints are welcome here, but I’m trying my hand at printing an extra-galactic space bug army and this is my first finished print. Printed on my anycubic photon ultra D2 in anycubic’s craftsman DLP grey resin.
Pump failure but there still being fuel that could manually taken by taking tank out would result in less of a punishment. This sounds like there wasn’t 1L of fuel to extract for testing but the parts worked
Hell yeah! Glad to see this be rebuilt in the fediverse, I’m also a Reddit refugee and while I’ll missy cranky sysadmin rants… I’m not going back to Reddit
