@Christownsendoutdoors I asked about tenant farmers because our experience in Wales suggests that outsiders see it as ‘empty land’ in need of rewilding whereas actually the landscape is not empty but is the home and workplace of people

@Adirondack not quite a frost but they had begun falling and some were soft. You can mimic a frost by putting them in the freezer overnight. Good luck with that carrots and parsnips - I’ve never (knowingly) seen a rutabaga . I guess it’s maybe a swede or turnip?
