JustZ,

“Could a president order SEAL Team Six to assassinate a political rival? That’s an official act–an order to Seal Team Six,” U.S. Circuit Judge Florence Pan asked Sauer.

“He would have to be, and would speedily be, you know, impeached and convicted before the criminal prosecution,” Sauer replied, setting a pre-condition for such prosecution in Pan’s hypothetical.

Unless it’s a Republican, he means.

This is their plan for every election, administrative, and legal matter: let Congress decide.

A body they can buy bribe and beleaguer.

This is a photo of mental illness. The filthy bathroom, the larping, the gun, and taking a picture of it all. This photo alone should be grounds for the person to never have access to a gun again.

JustZ,

Also “We the people…” It’s a rejection of God.

This take is a mile wide and an inch deep.

Yes sometimes migrants and asylum seekers travel with their children, or they just send their children alone, and so we can’t just detain those families and unaccompanied kids into the same place they put all the adults, right?

Obama didn’t “start this,” it has always been the case.

JustZ, (edited )

Obama built detention space for families and so did every other administration.

Trump started a specific policy of taking babies and children away from their families and housing them separately on purpose. What a moron to try and “both sides” this one.

JustZ,

I’ve been car shopping lately and the number of cheap used Tesla’s is astounding. I see more in dealer inventories than I’ve ever seen on the road.

Looking for a thermometer or home weather center with indoor and outdoor temp sensors, and that can record and export the data, does anyone know of such a device?

JustZ, (edited )

We did anticipate it. That’s why Iran and Russia are pariah states. At least they have each other.

JustZ,

I know that. The person I replied to suggested they are trying to wipe out all Palestinians. It’s absurd.

The ICJ spelled out how a collection of cherry-picked allegations reported in the press if proven true in court, could constitute the crime of genocide.

The unnattributed “reports” heavily relied upon in South Africa’s application is going to be a heavy lift to prove in court.

JustZ,

They were at the time I posted this. Has something changed?

JustZ,

It will forever bring tears to my eyes thinking what things could have been like if we had a President Sanders.

JustZ,

I’m not willing to let terrorists dictate the terms of war because they are so deranged they let their own kids die, and be proud about it. So yes if there are, terrorists or tunnels there, all that’s required is a reasonable attempt to warn. People want to take their kids with them that’s up to them. I’m not willing to see another generation of Palestinians die hopeless under a theocratic dictatorship that only retains power by terror financing from Iran and the charity from the West, which prevents the Palestinian people from realizing how shitty their chosen leadership it.

JustZ,

I think Israeli and Western intelligence knows better than you, and more importantly, they have more credibility than Hamas and Hamas loyalists, whose job it is to exaggerate and lie. Want to talk about straining credibility? Let’s talk about how nobody who died in air strikes is ever a Hamas members, there’s hundreds of miles of tunnels in a tiny little area and Hamas loyalists pretend they don’t know where they are, pretend they have no idea who is launching thousands of rockets day after day. Give me a break. The IDF on the other hand, actually has a track record of arresting and prosecuting war criminals within their own ranks. Hamas has a track record of giving them cash prizes.

JustZ,

You know what would distinguish them? If Hamas and their loyalists wore uniforms. The failure to do so is a clear violation of international law. That strategy, combined with the tunnel system, the total disregard Hamas loyalists have for their own children’s lives, and their Iranian and Qatari backed lawfare campaigns, makes this situation unprecedented.

Obviously though, if this particular location was being used to harbor Hamas commanders, it’s not a humanitarian camp or a safe zone. Everywhere Hamas goes, anyone near them is in harms way.

How many more generations of Palestinian will you condemn to die under the leadership of a far right panislamist dictatorship that has a track record of corrupting every public institution and turning them into instrumentalities of international terrorism, just because you’re too sad about the news?

No thanks, Israeli democracy is redeemable, Gaza is not.

JustZ,

Have you heard of a thing called depth or nuance? Not everything is as simple as one sentence.

Kids always die in wars. Does that mean war is never moral? No. I’m not okay with kids getting bombed. Their parents should need the warnings instead of supporting terrorists. 99.3% of Palestinians are managing not to get blown up while hanging out with Hamas commanders.

JustZ,

Literally just excuses for the consequences of Palestine’s own actions and choices. Nobody cares less about the people of Gaza than Hamas, except maybe Iran.

JustZ,

Go ahead and show me IDF prosecuting war criminals in their ranks.

You’re absolutely brainwashed.

JustZ,

Different concepts of self, maybe, learned from your childhood.

Perhaps you have a limited mindset: suppose you have a happy, productive day of work/effort, and at the end of the day you are tired; on the following day, do you need to rest and rejuvenate because you worked so hard the prior day, or do you work even harder because your efforts from the prior day give you momentum and confidence to keep going?

Another thing to consider is, where do you get your self validation? So, like, were you raised with an internal focus or an external focus? Do you give your best effort and attention working toward your own approval and satisfaction, or do you work toward the approval of others?

As a kid, was it instilled in you that you were inadequate, lacking, or behind your peers in some way? If so, I expect you will spend the rest of your life feeling that way. And when things happen that contradict that, like even when you donate great job on something, if that doesn’t match watch was instilled in you, you experience cognitive dissonance, and your brain literally stops you from counting your successess and strengths, because it’s uncomfortable to think of yourself as adequate and complete.

JustZ,

I agree. Civilian death tolls have been rapidly going down, not increasing. The airstrikes match up with the tunnels systems. There is no credibility to claims of “indiscriminate” bombings. The high number of civilian casualties is simply and readily explained by the fact that Hamas refused to let people evacuate and forced them to remain behind to be used as human shields and martyrs. High civilian casualties is one of Hamas’s weapons, and with Iran’s influence campaigns and astroturfing, it’s working to trick a lot of people whose ignorance and gullibility are going to allow Trump to win another term.

The only countries who’ve joined South Africa’s complaint to the UN criminal court are dictatorships, authoritarian , and/or theocratic shitholes such as Iran, Syria, Bahrain, Iraq, Brazil, Venezuela, Malaysia, and Cuba. The question South Africa’s complaint raises, after sorting through the circular logic, recursive reasoning, and claims attributed to incredible sources or simply “reports,” is when did South Africa start doing Iran’s bidding?

There’s been some heinous war crimes committed by IDF soldiers, maybe even a culture that causes soldiers to go too far. Those are the exception, by a lot. I have faith that, as a democracy, credible accusations will be investigated and charged within the customs of Israel’s military justice system, and most reports of atrocities have been highly exaggerated, recursive, and/or lack basic indicia of credibility.

JustZ,

Make no mistake, this is directly connected to what he would like to see. Same thing with Ukraine. It’s about Putin’s message. I think some of these—some of these protesters are spontaneous and organic and sincere. Some, I think, are connected to Russia.

And I say that having looked at this for a long time now, as you know.

She’s completely right. Some of the opposition is astroturfed. It’s part of Hamas’s strategy of “lawfare.”

It would be a betrayal of national security for the DOJ or FBI not to investigate the source of a lot of this messaging.

“I don’t think they’re plants,” said Pelosi. “I think some financing should be investigated. And I want to ask the FBI to investigate that.”

Yup.
