Juliette Mauduit is a band member of Thot and her vocal range adds depth to Thot's new album Delta. Not all of the album gels with me, but there's plenty of wonderful tracks
I can't really define what subgenres the band and their music fits, but I'd say it's metal, post-punk and more elements.
A favourite album on physical media for #TuneTuesday
For me, music has memories and stories attached, even more so when it's in a physical media format. It's hard to pick just one, but I will.
The Essential Foo Fighters, bought in an accidentally found music section of a huge department store where I bought it with cash as if I'd taken a leap back in time to the 1990s. I was extra happy as I'd wanted the CD for a while and had not been able to find it.
Last night I didn't bother with the aurora as I live in central Madrid & thought there is no way I'll catch anything. However, my feed was full of so many beautiful photos when I woke this morning & people said there was another chance this evening so I went to the darkest place nearby & look! 🤣
At least a kind passing stranger helped me with night mode on my mobile camera & I made friends with a lady called Rosa & we laughed about our failure to get any autora photos. We felt we had to try 😅
Bit.ly thinks being able to offer people the service to make dodgy URLs look more business-like is their selling point.
It's not, it just means scammers can fake their messages better and get you to click the link, and even if it's not a scam, trackers etc can be hidden in the links
Ranting because I received a message today that could have been from the post office and it wanted me to click on what looked like a legitimate link.
@jake4480 I've a colleague using Salesforce to learn how to build websites and retail campaigns and I had to explain that the part where Salesforce advises using Bit.ly to shorten URLs and hide trackers from clients was not a good idea 😵💫
@Kitty oh wow hahaha that's wild. Yeah, I work with Salesforce every day, currently trying to pass this exam even 😂 I honestly can't believe they'd still recommend that in 2024
It was obsession at first listen for this album and it has been on repeat ever since, so it is only fair that it is my #MittwochMetalMix choice for today
I believe I say this every Wednesday these days, however, it is true. Yesterday's TT* was amazing! Thank you everyone who joined in and to @The_KamikaZEN for the super prompt. If my rough analysis is right from highest to lowest, we had a spread of people born in the 80s, 70s, 60s, 90s
*TT is what I call Tune Tuesday for short 🙃
You guys rock 🎸
