That’s a technic I call learning by figuring out. I realized some time ago that information you figure out yourself lasts longer. When some at work for example asks me something I usually only return suggestive questions. Questions wich if they answer them lead them to the answer of their questions. I always get rolling eyes when I do but it helps in two ways. First is they really manifest the wisdom so they don’t need to ask me a second time and second they learn relativly fast that they have to think what to ask me and how anoying it is so they ask less frequently but more specific. People hate it but it is benefical for both sides in my opinion.
Just recently bought/built a new pc. 4070ti i9-13900K and the first thing i did was setting max freamerate in all apps to max 60 end every game i start the first thing i do is setting everything to minimum. Playing mostly games like factorio or whatever. The only important thing for me is: never ever any dips below 60fps and almost room temp hardware if possible.
basically all pre 30xx cards tend to drop a few frames if some visuals happen to close to the camera, with fog, trees wit high shadow details and when dumping cache and so on. most people don’t even realize these droped frames. For my spoiled me this makes many games borderline unplayable. I can’t stay thouse little hickups. its just so ermersion breaking. and for games that tend to do that with our gpu. Luckily i have not found one yet.
Fact is that guns with silencers are still really loud with silencers, correct. Not like in the movies… with normal ammunition. In that case, the sonic boom is what you hear. But with subsonic ammunition and a slightly larger silencer it is really very quiet and can sound like in the video or in movies almost. It’s hard to find on youtube because very few people want to shoot with such weak cartridges + with a silencer additionally, but if you’re really interested you can find it. If I remember after work I can look for another demonstration and post it here. if you are interested.
youtube.com/shorts/_1GRjRH9tKA? youtu.be/9c36ujvK9bs? basically just the mechanical parts that are audible. still not like the movies but pretty close. In person i felt like it’s actually less loud than in these vids depending on the gun.
Someone doing one of those computer jobs here. In the office i work we are 13 people. six zoomers, five boomers and two millennials. 12 out of these 13 people struggle to understand basic computer things such as archives even when I explane them. the same for family and some friends. I live and work germany. From my small sample i’d read its not a zoomer or boomer thing in germany at least.
It is a missed duty of politics to bring the country into tune with this. For example the “IT class” back in school was teached from people who had to google the stuff they had to teach… if the’d knew how to google. I had to listen to many calls mid lesson where the teacher had to ask other people how stuffs done. And just as germany has failed to do this, there are isolated groups or bubbles all over the world that simply do not want or are able to learn it. and that’s just spreading slowly since there is no need to learn on most systems anymore.
But that is just an observation of me with like I said just a smal sample in my close area. I could totaly be wrong.
What? That must be a bavaria/switzerland/austria thing. I never heard this. hearing quarter ten (Viertel zehn?) i’d assume 10:15 and most definitly not 09:15 0.o I’ll stay with quarter before ten for (viertel vor zehn) 09:45 and quarter after ten (viertel nach zehn) for 10:15.
Sure you can. But the evidence i see in my immediate vicinity is that informations go in through one ear and straight out through the other without holding on to anything if presented in in a none swearing or name calling manner. It hurts but it works.
