Politisch haben wir uns bzgl. Erderwärmung auf ein Ziel geeinigt, und das wird zumindest öffentlich von demokratischen Parteien auch nicht in Frage gestellt. Der politische Diskurs sollte sich also demnach nur noch um die Mittel drehen, mit denen wir dieses Ziel erreichen wollen. Ein Vorschlag, der nicht geeignet ist, dieses Ziel zu erreichen, disqualifiziert sich also selbst und sollte nicht mehr diskutiert sondern direkt abgelehnt werden. Weder Presse noch Politik leisten dies.

Die Aussage, daß E-Autos zu leise für Sehbehinderte sind, ist halt auch eine Aussage darüber, wer da im Zweifel auf wen zu achten hat.

Und wieso hinterfragt das verdammt noch mal niemand?

@AmiW Wieso wartet er nicht? Wenn jmd ne Tonne Blech durch die Gegend schiebt, hat er deswegen nicht automatisch Vorrang.

Uns wurde dermaßen antrainiert, daß wir gefälligst den Weg freizumachen haben, daß Autofahrys sofort entrüstet sind, wenn dies mal nicht gilt.

Wir haben hier einen verkehrsberuhigten Bereich, in dem dürfen laut StVO Autos den Fußgängerverkehr „nicht behindern; wenn nötig, muss gewartet werden.“ Dies wird von Autofahrys als Zumutung empfunden.

@AmiW Ich hab nicht von „torkelnden Menschen“ gesprochen. Und ich hasse auch keine Autos, manchmal muß ich selbst welche nutzen.

Ich halte es für kontraproduktiv, Autos absichtlich lauter zu machen. Wenn ich mit Fahrrad uns Anhänger übern Supermarktparkplatz fahre, bin ich auch ziemlich unhörbar und muß mich entsprechend verhalten.

Es ist eine politische Entscheidung, wie wir unsere Städte und Dörfer einrichten und wem wir Vorrang geben. Früher konnten Kinder auf der Straße spielen.

Mein Tröt macht eine Feststellung: daß es notwendig ist, E-Autos hören zu können, ist ein Hinweis darauf, daß Fußgängys auf Autos achten müssen und nicht umgekehrt.

Und ich fordere das zu hinterfragen. Ich muß als Autofahry eh innerhalb des von mir beobachteten Bereichs jederzeit anhalten können, allein wegen der Kinder.

Ich will weniger Lärm, nicht mehr.

Das kann man alles politisch diskutieren. Mich stört, daß das als gegeben gesetzt ist.

Wir reden hier nach deiner Angabe von Fahrzeugen, die mit 20km/h oder weniger unterwegs sind. In dem Tempo bin ich mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs und dabei ziemlich geräuschlos. Trotzdem fahre ich niemanden um, sondern überschaue die Straße hinreichend, um dies vermeiden zu können.

Was das Gesetzwidrige von Protesten angeht: nachdem wir Schulpflicht haben, fing das nicht beim Kleben an, nur haben Fridays-for-Future Demos den heiligen Autoverkehr halt weniger gestört, weswegen die Vergleiche mit Terrorismus ausblieben.

Und der Gesetzesbrecher Ghandi – der offen gegen das Gesetz verstieß, als er selbst beim großen Salzmarsch eine Handvoll Salz herstellte und dann zur Steuerverweigerung aufrief – wird heute als großes Vorbild verehrt.

Die Gesetze waren übrigens von einem demokratischen Gremium – dem britischen Parlament – erlassen worden, nur daß die Inder da nichts zu sagen hatten.

@larsmb And having the right Google Fu is a skill. Not only using the right search terms but also knowing which of the results to click anf quickly figuring out which of the texts will be helpful/are related to the problem.

Ich Ich sollte aufhören die als neoliberal zu bezeichnen. Sie betreibt vielmehr aktiv Lobbypolitik für Industrien, die in einem neoliberalen Markt nicht mehr überlebensfähig wären.

Das einzig marktwirtschaftliche daran ist, daß sie das tut, was ihre bestzahlenden Käufer wollen.

Politikys argumentieren diese „Klimaklebys“ verstoßen gegen Gesetze, seien also undemokratisch, sie sollen doch besser andere Wählys überzeugen.

Dies ignoriert ein Macht­ungleich­gewicht:
Gegenspieler ist das Fossil­kapital/​Autoindustrie/…, das auch nicht demokratisch agiert, sondern einfach weiter Kohle macht. Es weiß, daß damit Paris nicht erreichbar ist, ist aber rechtlich nicht sein Problem.
Selbst beim Dieselskandal kamen keine Auto-Managys in Präventivhaft.

Okay, I’ve tried the whole Root on dance, and it’s not making me happy. “Disable or build your own Secure Boot trust chain” is just … too cumbersome. And since I don’t need fancy ZFS-only features anyway, let’s see whether I can instead build something that better suits my needs based on just ’s RAID options (including --raidintegrity) and .

@scy @scifurz I am happily using btrfs with RAID 1 or BoD using features like, snapshots, including stunts like swapping disks on top of crypto to increase size etc on servers and laptops, also using incremental btrfs send/receive for backup.

The only thing we found on VMs is that VMware has a bug where they write into a memory buffer already announced to the filesystem which can cause btrfs checksum error messages.
