This may be a silly question, but how does one actually read short story collections? Is it the same as if reading a novel? Do you put the book down between every story? Do you look for connections between the stories? Am I supposed to read them linearly?

@hankg thanks! I used to do that, but I kinda gave up pauses between novels (at least switching between multiple ones), because I started to feel lost between a bunch of books and never really finishing any while still wanting to. But it might work better for short stories.

I'm increasingly looking at the fediverse as a replacement for a number of things (Twitter -> mastodon, Goodreads -> bookwyrm, but possibly also Instagram -> pixelfed, Blogs -> ?? and event calendars -> mobilizon). However, as I currently understand it, that means using websites/apps for each of these, both for reading and writing. Are there "fediverse apps" that allow me to consume (like an RSS aggregator) and write to multiple fediverse services?

@XR_Nuernberg_sunny2 @WenAstar @stahldame @fedibikes_de @senorverano @FlorianHenig @vcdbayern ich glaube wie bei den meisten Aktivisti ist gerade die Last hoch - ich glaube auch bei @Nbgautofrei ist die Auslastung ziemlich hoch
