It’s a story from April, I tried seeing if it was posted before, however it’s the story about how the advertising and finance team beat the search team into submission by ousting the core person protecting it to pursue “growth” and “revenue” at all costs.
I’ve tried to use DDG for a few weeks now, and I find it gets worse the more specific I search.
For general things, it’s fine. But if I’m looking for an installation tutorial for a certain kind of plumbing hardware, it struggles to show me anything but brand and retail pages.

I’m sick of random capitalisations mid sentence. I’m sick of common words being replaced by less common ones or even downright nonsense. I’m sick of it taking three attempts to successfully get the word I want. I swear it’s been like this for five years or more. Can we have a better version yet, or at least the old one...
My friend, I am also slightly nostalgic for the optimism and novelty of the flip phone days. I could text confidently with T9 inside a hoodie pocket during class. But my good friend there is no universe where I want to go back to T9 for the convenience and effectiveness of it. It is not quick compared to anything that came after.

You could have said, “that’s unjustifiable. It’s also reprehensible how many so-called medical professionals kill people with dangerous and negligent restraint practices too.”
Fuck the police. They are not careful. Any number of murders by the police is too many. Any number of murders by healthcare workers is too many. We do not have to tolerate one to condemn the other.
I never said fuck the police over the healthcare workers. I said any number of murders by police is too many. Any number of murders by healthcare workers is too many.
My point is the police shouldn’t get a pass because there’s another group that’s worse. Both groups should be scrutinized and deeply reformed.
You need to check your privilege and pause for a moment. Your opinion is not more valuable than theirs. Insults and judgement in angry posts undermine whatever point you were trying to make.
Nothing is more fun than guessing what arbitrary macguffin the DM has in mind. Or tirelessly asking if you see anything in this corner or that corner, or over there, or under the desk, or behind the tapestry.
