It’s weird because most hate it. I remember when Michael Moore’s movie came out and even those in red states were gathering together to say that if we let this go on then we’re complicit!
Then I think I remember Fox News and the right-wing going on a blitz. “Death Panels” and shit
Look at this disinformation campaign. This is what pisses me off about this “both sides” bullshit. Also, whenever any comedian jerks themselves off about speaking the truth and being philosophers going off on woke when they shut their mouths about shit like this.
I think making the rich mingle with the normal people more would be beneficial. It’s harder to dehumanize the poor when you’ve met them. Can’t call them lazy or stupid and just not “wanting” it enough when you see them work as hard as you and not getting as far.
Although, I think the way things are it’ll never happen though. Nepo babies would dodge everything even if something like this were to occur.
You’re absolutely right. I was trying to get what I hoped was the salient point out of the person’s post.
I knew a few guys in Europe I think maybe Austrian or something where they came from lots of money but went to school with “others” and they seemed pretty well-adjusted. Although, they have a lot of the other advantages that you’ve listed as well.
Weren’t Republicans crying about HIPAA (fixed spelling, thanks!) and shit earlier when asked if they got vaccinations? You guys actually care about sensitive patient health data or what’s up?
I remember waiting at Spadina years ago and heard someone scream that phrase … and I think for the next year of work I biked. It was like Inception with that phrase. lol.
I moved to London UK afterwards and was amazed at how transit wasn’t just so much better but it was the primary mode of transport. A lot of people hate the tube but I just can’t be mad at it after living in Toronto. London has loads more people living in than Toronto for sure, but Toronto was just so bad. I often made a joke about how many transit lines we’ve added in London in a few years and that living in Toronto for the past five, we’ve actually removed one (Kennedy?).
You see. I know the atheist movement ran high on Reddit and flamed out.
I’m typically the guy that’s very live and let live and if you asked me if there’s any danger to believing in a God I’d just say, “you do you”.
However, we get people that are in control or are being controlled that are making decisions that affect everyone based on this stuff. Stem cell research, abortions, sex work, gay rights, porn ID, climate change, evolution … like I just don’t know what to think.
I have a reminder to cancel Amazon Prime in a month. I never really used the TV portion until a few months ago and was like, fine … the selection sucks but it’s alright. After they introduced the ads now, it’s unusable to me. I’m getting rid of it entirely and not rewarding this type of behaviour.

I think it’s analogous to the joke where you say: “I’d call you a monkey but that’d be an insult to monkeys”
MLMs are legal and pyramid schemes are not. I don’t know the legal details but I imagine it’s because of the tricky pay scheme and that people are losing money and that the fact that MLMs can’t be called pyramid schemes due to some weird rule is laughable because they seem worse.

Ah good point. I’ve put 150 hours into HellDivers 2, this should have been second nature to me. Although I picked up Stardew Valley to play 1.6 during the account fiasco and now I’m totally lost in that.
I think it’s 'cause we know more about him. I think if we knew he was a whimsical dude and legitimately trying to help people instead of enriching himself, we’d see these pics and give him a bit more of a pass.
I’ve had too many beers in the previous weeks. Eventually went into a depressive rut that was hard to pull myself out. Went back on antidepressants for a bit and I found myself able to cut back on alcohol. The lack of drinking improved a lot of things. The antidepressants, however, messed up my sleep and I had trouble readapting.
I had my arm twisted and went to a bar last weekend. I had two zero percent beers. I was able to go out and not feel like crap the next day. That was important for me.
I’m undergoing medical exam, so I haven’t slept well, but I haven’t had any alcohol cravings.

First time watching Lemmino and I’m an instant subscriber now, it was a great video. Not gonna lie the bait at the end was really enticing and I hope that this does get solved soon!
