My pick is Five Finger Death Punch and the obvious answer is Ivan Moody. The guy radiates that alpha-male wannabe energy and it definitely rings through all of the songs he has written and performed with this band. The guy is just a prick and a self-victimizing asshole....
He’s one of those guys who hates America so much that he starts to think anyone who goes up against them must be the good guy (I’m sure nobody on Lemmy could possibly imagine such a situation!), missing the point that lots of people/countries/organisations can all be bad.
He’s a complete edgelord and always has been, but that has always been a recipe for great art!
I think to be a shill you have to be getting paid or otherwise compensated for it. If you truly believe it and nobody is sweetening the deal then you’re just an enthusiast!
