PolyLlamaRous,

Boy I’m getting super sick of these, “Millennials are doing this ____ , gen Zers are ruining that ____ , boomers are mad about ____” articles. Having one less thing to divide us as people would be nice right about now.

PolyLlamaRous,

Why is this coming out now? Like we know… Why is this a news story, now? I am absolutely not a conspiracy theorist, but this makes me feel like one. Is something going to happen to Saudi Arabia… Are some powers at be trying to sway public opinion for some reason?

PolyLlamaRous,

So it looks like ya got a couple of issues here. As the peeps mentioned, acid - weather in vinegar (preferably stonger like 30%+ if available) or chemicals to take off the lime deposits is a first start. Second it looks like the top layer(s) of the enamel are damaged and or cracked which is why you are struggling with it “coming back and not completely going away”. There are fixes for this, but replacement is usually recommended if this is the case.

I’m far from a Profi in the field but I have looked into it before. There are companies that will do it either in home or take it to them, but often it is expensive. There are many home repair kits available, but the paint on / fingernail polish kinds work poorly. The sand the whole tub down and put a new layer on are better… But the cost and work typically don’t justify it. If they are just top surface damages, you could try a higher polish sand job on the tub and see.

PolyLlamaRous,

*it can be safely done yes, but but shouldn’t and it’s not allowed in some areas. Where I live everywhere that sells batteries has to have collection points for their recycling and it is not legal to put them in the trash.

I use Jebora and am happy, is there something important I’m missing? I was a Reddit is Fun user before and I like both because of how simple and basic they are. I hated the official reddit app for the reasons above.

Edit: the one thing I don’t like is you can’t, or I don’t know how, to collapse all child comments.

PolyLlamaRous,

All child comments, the entire post. It makes finding things easier then going into the replys if I want to. Usually child comments are less helpful.

Does deleting an app after clearing data guarantee complete deletion on android ?

Basically the title I installed a game, played some, got bored and wanna delete it but then remembered that I used to have a tab long time ago and we’d mess with it by installing a ton of games , So at a point it got too hangy that we deleted every game but it still wouldn’t work as good so we had to factory reset the thing...

PolyLlamaRous,

What did you do OP… Just tell your SO that your best friend installed tinder on your phone as a joke…

PolyLlamaRous,

Hey, yeah I assumed. Just looking for a chuckle.

PolyLlamaRous,

I’m good with plants but far from an expert. If I found that, I would go to my friends place, take a few new cuttings from them, propagate them and and say goodbye to this sad fellow.

But that’s not your question. If the problem is really root rot, it’s tough. Cutting it and regrowing new roots in water is what I would do.

PolyLlamaRous,

Did you all know there is already a The Hunt for Gollum? Found it online. It’s fan fiction from 2009 from the UK but reviews sound good.

PolyLlamaRous,

Just finished it. I’m impressed! Like, yeah, it’s fan fiction… But well done!

PolyLlamaRous,

Go watch it. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but it’s the search for Gollum. I found it free on YouTube. It’s 40 minutes or so. Tell me how it is.

PolyLlamaRous,

Yeah and thanks for watching it. I felt simular. I liked watching it because I’m a big fan, but it was their love and passion for it that got me. And for what it is I think they did a great job. It could have been shorter or had more other content… But I can only assume there was some budget issues as it was nonprofit made.

PolyLlamaRous,

Sorry, oil for what? Especially in that quantity? I’m not questioning you, but asking.

PolyLlamaRous,

Thanks, and yeah, makes sense.

Would this be hard to fix? Is it worth fixing? Assuming the motor is not yet burned out, you would have to add more oil and re-seal the motor housing? Sounds simple, but I assume that there is a high likelihood that the motor is already burnt out? And maybe another reason it’s leaking in the first place and not simply a seal?

PolyLlamaRous,

It’s far from only in the US. In my experience, hospitals in Germany are far worse in this regard. It depends greatly on who is getting paid how much for what. The US is far better for this, but unfortunately it is not affordable for most.

PolyLlamaRous,

True - but this is also true everywhere I have been too.

PolyLlamaRous,

Sorry about your ear problems. That sounds bad and a terrible thing to live with.

The US heathcare systems have many problems as you pointed out. I also am well aware of them as I lived there for 30 years both with and without insurance. The only thing that I can give is my lived experience in both systems. The problems that you pointed out among many others exist in most health care systems globally. Despite and including these problems in my experience the US still gives better care. That may be hard to hear (no pun intended) but the grass is not always greener.

Now don’t get me wrong. I prefer the system here in Germany but not because it’s better, but because it is available to everyone. People here don’t go bankrupt with medical debt like in the US.

PolyLlamaRous,

I assume that you are german? I have experienced similar here with dermatologists but for allergies. I went to 4 different allergists over a 8 month period to simply get tested to be able to get an epipen which could potentially save my life. This in the US took one next day visit with a doctor. Later (in the US) I saw specialists that put a lot of research into my allergies and time and attention into it. I got nothing here in Germany.

As mentioned before, despite this, I would rather support the german system though. It has its problems like everywhere, but it is at least available to everyone at more affordable prices.

PolyLlamaRous,

I have often wondered about the private insurance (not that I can afford it). I’ve only been on AOK I can only assume that the care is much much better with private insurance?

PolyLlamaRous,

Haha, you know what, you’re probably right. But I was very nice about it. And it could be one of OPs favorite dishes. Lots of people share photos of every meal they eat on Facebook, so why not here? I’ll retract my statement.

PolyLlamaRous,

Does the thing he crashed into pop up, or was that thing always up and he thought that he could get through it or something? Or didn’t see it?

PolyLlamaRous,

This is today’s version of "Eskimos (Inuit, I know, but that’s not how the memes went) have __40 __65 250( insert your number, it won’t be wrong) words for snow. This is for the same reason and is now largely known as wrong.

The problem is even German people (I live in Germany) also believe that they have a larger more expressive language than (for example) English… When it isn’t true. German has either 5.3 million++ words or 135,000 depending on how you count them. In reality you can endlessly combine words in German together, but it very rarely makes it a “new word”.
