Protoknuckles,

Shit… the quality is gonna drop to cardboard and sawdust isn’t it?

Protoknuckles,

For me, waiting for the phone to ring was torture, because I could be interrupted at any time. It was draining and stressful. If you’re actually able to relax, that’s different.

Protoknuckles,

Hot fuzz. Because the first watch is enjoyable, but every subsequent rewatch makes you appreciate Edgar Wright more and more. He is just the most incredibly meticulous story teller with the most dense movies.

Protoknuckles,

Hag!

Protoknuckles,

I always thought it was a way to show the foibles of using pure logic in a regular setting.

Protoknuckles,

I think his point may be he can’t cast the magic spells that depend on capitalization, but I could be wrong.

Protoknuckles,

Good point!

Protoknuckles,

They are chaos personified, and the least cool version of that.

Protoknuckles,

I mean, temporarily loud. I think that would be OK.

Protoknuckles,

Deep Rock Galactic. Every time there’s a cool new seasonal hat, I try to jump on.

Protoknuckles,

To the bone!

McConnell endorses Trump for president. He once blamed Trump for ‘disgraceful’ Jan. 6, 2021, attack (apnews.com)

With McConnell’s endorsement of Trump, it gives the green light to other remaining skeptical Republicans — and the deep-pocketed donors who fuel campaigns — to fall in line despite any reservations they may have about a return to the Trump era....

Potato charms: people throughout history have kept and even stolen wrinkly old vegetables for their health (theconversation.com)

In 1897, one Mr Burgess, the Clerk of Works at Oxford University, donated two shrivelled potatoes to the Pitt Rivers Museum. He usually kept them in his pockets. They were the ultimate “jacket” potatoes....

Protoknuckles,

Sounds like Mr. Tulip from Terry Pratchett’s The Truth. As long as he had his potato, he’s ok.

You can only pick 2 games from steam to play for the rest of your life, what games are they? (sh.itjust.works)

I have a large library of steam games, but yet always come back to Garry mod and ravensfield. I keep coming back for the modded content and every other game is excellent, don’t get me wrong. But a lot of big games like RD2 and watchdogs 2 just seem like such a long time investment. What 2 games do you infinitely come back to?

Protoknuckles,

Deep Rock Galactic and Pinball FX3. I’m tempted to put Baldurs Gate 3, but once you’ve done a number of runs, I feel like you’ll be done with it.

Protoknuckles,

Yeah, but neither Clone would want to go to the job. Both would want to sleep.

Protoknuckles,

Point still stands that neither would want to go to work.

Protoknuckles,

I still haven’t seen a must play game on the ps5 or series x, especially not one that won’t come to pc. Closest so far is spiderman 2, but I’ll wait for the PC release.

Protoknuckles,

I don’t even know if you need a good PC anymore, a steam deck and a Nintendo will do fine

Do you all have any tips on activities to do yourself, instead of consuming content all the time?

I’m pretty sick of my content addiction, like watching youtube or netflix all the time. I would rather be spending my time otherwise so figured fun things are the best to start. Do you have tips for fun things to do? Or how I could search for them?...

Protoknuckles,

Miniature painting, like for DnD and Warhammer is a great skill that starts easy and can ramp up in difficulty as you learn new techniques. It can get expensive however, but is great for relaxing and being creative.

Protoknuckles,

That’ll do it, lol
