Part of the reason my partner and I don’t want kids. It’s almost impossible to raise them alone and she has a preexisting condition that she wouldn’t want to pass on to them. If she passes away I could always just go live in my car by the beach and be fine. Wouldn’t be able to do that very well with a kid.
I was finishing a jar of extremely hot peppers (7 pot primos) that I had fermenting on Thanksgiving day. I made a hot sauce with them and cantaloupe. I had them in a pan at a low simmer to meld the flavors. The problem was the steam coming off was potent as hell. It filled the house when everyone was arriving and coughing from...
I have no issue with emojis but it was a bit jarring trying to read this. It was fine after like a paragraph. At that point my mind just started to skip over the emojis.
I know nothing about anything but I definitely believe the government would do it. If anyone has the power to keep the hackers acting nice it’s the government. Especially if they write your paychecks.
After weeks of local speculation, the purchasers of 55,000 acres of northern California land have been revealed. Iirc judges actually look into all assets including recently sold ones and that can go back several years specifically to catch people trying to shield their money in cases where they might owe a lot. Judges REALLY frown upon this and go after the assets anyways. It happened to Alex Jones, he sold his properties and assets to a company he owns to try and not pay anything to the sand hook parents. Judge was very displeased with him.
That’s exactly why I prefer qr. I don’t need to touch dirty menus and before anyone says that they clean them every night. Doesn’t matter, they use the same watery rag on all the menus, they may not be sticky but they sure as shit are still dirty. I’ve worked at plenty of restaurants, including ‘high end’ ones. The only way to guarantee they’re clean is to just print out a new one for each guest.

I work in a real estate adjacent field, part of the housing issue IS very much because of big companies and people just buying up all the houses to rent them for passive income.
I don’t care if people have 2 or 3 houses but when they own 8 or 9 or hundreds then yea we have an issue.
My next TV is gonna be a projector. I only ever use it at night for movie/shows occasionally. I don’t really need a TV, my pc is what I’m using most days.
Damn look at this fat cat over here being able to afford Ritz. Us plebs get to share a singular saltine for the week. We used to take turns licking the salt off for dinner and had the soggy biscuit for breakfast the following morning.
On a serious note though, I feel ya. Hopefully your doing better as an adult. ♥️
My situation. I was told unless someone retires there isn’t really a way to go up. The only reason I’m sticking around is because I have gotten decentish raises and benefits like them paying for all my personal gas. That said, 2 of the old timers retired and they just cut those positions. If I don’t get a bug raise or another position come my next year I’m gonna bounce.
“Skiplagging” — or booking a flight with a layover to skip the last leg of travel — is a common hack for travelers who don’t want to pay for a direct flight or who to save money on airfare to a connecting destination. Airlines contend the practice results in lost revenue for seats on planes.
