Does it make sense to participate at UGs or unconfs when you can see those talks at conferences?

Absolutely! While UGs also have time boundaries, they're not set as hard in stone as conferences do. Talks develop at UGs which is why you see some slides/knowledge that won't make it into the ones at conferences. There's also the possibility that some talks get altered just for the event like my ORM/SQL one that covered other languages than PHP at @unKonf in 2019.

Maybe it's not #PHP that's dead, but development in PHP. There are several ready to use products, especially in eCommerce, that is more of a configuration or extending existing functionality rather than developing something new. It's closer to maintaining than developing.

Good for business, but I don't know about all these celebrations when people are just switching the radio of their car and changing oil, but call themselves car manufacturer because of that. A lot of PHP knowledge gets lost.

While everyone mentions Chrome and Google lately and how Firefox should be used, let's talk about Firefox on Android (or maybe on mobile at all?).

It lacks the amount of extensions and the usability seems to go slowly worse compared to its big brother on pc or previous mobile versions.

I had to read an XML book because of that hype, but no one was able to tell me for what I was learning XML. I asked so many questions about what use cases they thought about but got no answer. A few years later I used XML standards for API's and data sharing.
