Prisoners' Institutions: "The total number of arrests [from the West Bank and Jerusalem] since October 7 has reached more than 9,000 citizens" @palestine@israel
‘Palestine is a European issue’: European Parliament candidate Rima Hassan. “Europe should recognise Palestine as a state.., impose economic sanctions by suspending the EU-Israel Association Agreement, enforce an arms export embargo .. & implement sanctions on Israel akin to those on apartheid South Africa” - I agree! @palestine
#Egypt's Sisi orders prime minister to form new cabinet (neither this article, nor those announcing the cabinet’s resignation [presumably by order] explains the 5th W = why?) @egypt
@Sherifazuhur@palestine@israel people have really bought the framing of Hamas as a military force rather than understanding it's a political movement that sometimes engages in armed action.

Hadja Labib: With @JosepBorrellF and the Council of the EU, we have decided to convene an EU-Israel Association Council to assess compliance with the Association Agreement, which contains obligations to respect human rights. @israel
@israel@palestine I’m not criticizing Reuters, but the AJE humanizes the story with details about real children. AJE is full of stories on Rafah; the Jerusalem Post has no stories on Rafah on its main page.
I began reading an article ms (we do this w/o pay or recognition as a service to the field. A few publishers offer a payment, but that’s uncommon) Once I pressed « read » I can’t refuse to write a review. Yet, this ms isn’t ready for review. It will take many hours to mark all the errors in grammar, syntax, word choices, and it makes bold, hyperbolic assertions based on reverse racism (is there such a thing? Yes) Journals: please provide a Refuse option. Authors: please hire an editor if you need one.
@Sherifazuhur Peer reviewers are not copy editors. I was once advised to use a phrase like "this paper needs some serious (professional) editing before is it really even ready for a serious peer review." That is a sufficient review.
There are encouraging ways to couch that if you think there is promise in the arguments, but doesn't sound like you even think that's true.
