Jeg fikk nettopp en regning i posten. 146,81 kroner.
For en bompassering i Portugal, som i utgangspunktet kostet 9,91 kroner. I februar 2022.

Det var litt av en prisstigning. 🤣 Gebyrer. Purregebyrer. Men jeg har aldri fått en regning på dette før nå.

Og egentlig kjøpte et abonnement den gangen. Husker det var litt kronglete. Men det var etter at vi hadde kjørt litt inn i landet, så dette er sansynligvis rett etter grensen.

I've been reading a book about Viking Age archeology (Cat Jarman's "River Kings") that mentions game pieces found with warrior and boat burials and, flashforward a millennium, give or take a few centuries, I've been playing hnefatafl, aka Viking chess, on three apps, which has been interfering with my backgammon and non-Viking chess studies.

Damn you, dead people!

I realize that I'm going to be stepping on some big toes, but I want to be the go-to guy for Casio watch talk here on Mastodon.

So here's one of my two Casios. I have no idea what model it is, but it's definitely black and tells time. Back when I was a fotball official, I used this watch because it has an assortment of timer functions and a vibrating silent alarm (so the little shits would listen for my whistle and not the beep-beep sound of my watch).

Did I mention it's black?

@matt Agree. "The Rest Is Entertainment" is very good. I can also recommend "The Rest Is History," "The Rest Is Money" and ... wait a second! There seems to be some sort of pattern. Let me go figure it out, and I'll be back with my last recommendation.

Denne halloween ble jeg introdusert for Mr. Beast-sjokoladen, som er den verste sjokoladen jeg noen gang har smakt. Han knytter virkelig navnet sitt til noen forferdelige produkter. Men trick-or-treaters var veldig glade for å få det, så hva vet jeg?

We have a Duolingo family plan, which allows six people to have unfettered access to the service. But we only have five in our family, so we have an extra spot being wasted. We've tried to give it to friends but have gotten zero takers. Stupid Americans. Let them stay monolingual.

While watching "Columbo" last night, I couldn't help but think of @ruari because the murderer, an electronics expert played by Oskar Werner, keeps showing everyone his new-fangled digital watch. He does this to precisely establish the time of his faux alibi. I have an uneasy feeling that this is what Ruari is doing.
