There is a strong rumour that some Fedi developers and admins have held secret discussions with Meta/Facebook under NDAs.

The Fediverse is supposed to be an alliance of open projects built by a broad grassroots base. Its devs/admins are not supposed to hold secret backroom discussions with people who have a horrific track record (https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2021/dec/06/rohingya-sue-facebook-myanmar-genocide-us-uk-legal-action-social-media-violence).

Facebook/Meta is in effect a sociopathic corporation (https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/ryanmac/growth-at-any-cost-top-facebook-executive-defended-data). Nothing good will come of talking to them.

@feditips so Meta probably started worrying about their profits too. 99% of meta users use basic features of FB/WA/IG which are now easily replicated by fediverse apps.
It's going to be fun, I'd be interested in accessing FB groups with a fediverse account.

After two weeks of using the latest entry-level , I’m impressed. It’s taken years to get here but Lenovo has delivered a sub-$350 laptop that I truly enjoy using. Surprisingly, this laptop can nearly keep up with my daily workflow. And that means it will likely keep up with most people’s ChromeOS usage since I push the limits of my devices.

@kevinctofel did you try anything related to video editing? For example, is kinemaster able to edit a 4k video or it's limited to fhd?

@kevinctofel the app should work just fine, I tried it in the past on chromeos. You might try powerdirector app too just to see how it performs.

Unlike Misskey, Calckey gives you the ability to opt out of ads if you don't like them.

By the way, I don't know of any Calckey servers that show ads right now.

Each hashtag seems to be accompanies by a chart.

What's even more fun is that you can drill down by language!

If you're into hashtags, this is a good way to kill an evening.
