as someone who has lived in both the US and EU i think the standard date formats are confusing as fuck and everyone should switch to ISO 8601 yyyy-mm-dd

my friend joe wintergreen said its always worth doing those small easy wins for your game (like a loading screen, main menu, fading in, headbob, etc)

So today I made it possible so I can load into a level and request a specific spawn, or to skip the intro. It's fun! and now I have somewhat of a cohesive experience with two maps, yay (basically goes like map 1 -> map 2 -> back to map 1 but you can now progress there)

Finally I can play my wife’s copy of Lost Judgment, while my wife can play her copy of Balatro from her own library without disconnecting me.
And sharing games works offline too!

This is how I wish game sharing worked back when digital games started becoming more common and me and my brother had to buy two copies. Now it only needs two copies if you want to play the same game at the same time.

Folks panicking about the "Google AI can generate entire 2D games!" thing should probably look at the footage

which is hilariously bad if you pay attention to level structure— we already know how demanding players are, there's no market for this kinda slop (it already exists)

@kenney i may have some frustrations with how things in blender work, but switching to it from Maya completely for personal projects has gotta be one of the best decisions I've made

Latest wave dealt with. We're slowly whittling down the deadhead servers out there that can be weaponized for this. They're basically script kiddies exploiting forgotten instances with open signups.

Guessing there will be more, but they should run out eventually, we're targeting the servers rather than the accounts on our end.

Quick Godot on iPad screenshot.

Started to do a SwiftUI version of the Inspector with native controls - very early, and lots of debug info on the screen, but I like where this is going.

The main topic is: I am extracting the data and parsing all the data out to present the view - and now I can start doing native SwiftUI view controls for each property type.

It's really kinda funny that it's Apple that's removing support for our Mac games in the end and not us. Got a Steam email that they're delisting 32 bit Mac games cause Apple won't support them anymore

Shame, but not really my fault and not much I can do about it 🤷‍♀️

@glassbottommeg can't help but feel like it's very scripted. If it was about having conversations, sure, I'd believe it, but the bartender getting free alcohol out and the cybersecurity nerd being like "come to my lab so I can show you the GPU I've been testing" gives me the vibe of something they'd need to have implemented in the first place.
