I don’t use Instagram. I don’t use tiktok. Lemmy and mastodon are all I really use and I’m only on mastodon for the funny stuff. I know very little of the history of the area, and I’m not a history buff. Don’t care to learn. What I know is from the news (which can still impart biases of their own of course). Yes hamas is bad. The Israeli government is just as bad. They are using their military advantage to bomb families and starve children. They are committing genocide and we’re supposed to accept this because some of the people they kill are also bad? Fuck that. The atrocities committed by each side are on different scales. It doesn’t take much character to denounce genocide.

Curious question

So I’m real confused at why people hate big polyamorous relationships? Like it confuses me because isn’t the basis of being poly. Loving others and loving multiple people. Giving dedication to multiple people? Which it never specified on what type of group or how big of a group. So where does the hate of big polys come from?...

To me it sounds like you’re making it up. Forty-nine partners is more than a believable amount; I don’t even care if it is true. You sound like a kid bragging online for the first time, and it’s hard to take you seriously.

If you are telling the truth and wanted to be taken more seriously, I would start with being more vague about the numbers. No one needs to know about all forty-nine.

But that’s just me. I can’t speak for anyone else. Also, I have you tagged in my App as “49 Wives” and every time you I chuckle a little.

I kinda figured. That’s why I answered instead of ignoring you. But it also does add to the sex cult thing. That is just way too many partners for the average person to keep up with. At least 8x the amount I’m comfortable with.

Some vegans make the argument that it’s not more expensive, and fresh ingredients are pretty cheap. This ignores the time it takes to actually make dishes with fresh ingredients. A lot of people that are less well off don’t have the time to spare.

I’ve been trying to cut down my family’s red meat consumption for health and environmental reasons. I’ve got a 16 month old so I haven’t been making great progress, but I digress. I think my end goal is eventually pescetarianism. I feel no overwhelming need to cut out all animal products. Dairy and fish are definitely here to stay.
