Unless you’ve actually witnessed the inside of ICE detention centers don’t fucking come to me trying to argue Biden and his policies aren’t straight up xenophobic Nazi shit. You don’t know anything unless you’ve seen how shit goes down in those godforsaken places.

I watched an immigration judge tell a Black woman that he knew she would be raped to death by government forces if she was deported to her home country, that he sympathized with her, and then he selected her for deportation as she burst into horrified tears. You people are Nazis.

There’s no juries in those “trials.” No habeas corpus. Just a terrified immigrant and a white supremacist system trying to kill them. The lucky ones were able to connect with activists like the ones I was working with— who tried to fill the gap and flag down lawyers to take these cases.

The lawyer who took her case was able to get help from RAICES and they saved her life in the end. The lawyer is dead though. He worked himself to death working cases like that for no money despite serious health issues that eventually caught up with him. That was 2019.

the United States is no longer a democracy it is, at best, a hybrid regime due to the fractured states-system— a flaw once again being leveraged by white supremacist separatists who are holding half the nation hostage. it’s very funny people talk about voting to save democracy as if there was any precedent for that or as if this election will decide the fate of our democracy as if the fascist radicalization of our entire political system hadn’t already incited such a fate. harm reduction is all well and good but if someone has a gun to your head there is no time to keep icing your wounds you have to take drastic, alternative actions that break the status quo.
