I went from beehaw to lemmy.world and then to lemmy.ca all good changes and am very happy with lemmy.ca as my home base.

No I just logged onto the different instances and manually copied over my content, I have only one community that so far isn’t very active that I run so that was easy to move over as well. I’m sure its a roadmap feature, but who knows what the development road for lemmy is going to be now.

Let’s go further! Computers should not come with an operating system installed.

Its too late! I already use endeavourOS! Its too good not to!

DOS2 is such an insanely good game. BG3 is shaping up to be just as awesome.

Maybe we could do blog post days?

I like the idea of seeing a decent amount of content, but fear that it could lead to too many blog posts if left unchecked.

Horse armor angst be damned. Diablo 4 was decently fun. But the grind is slooooow.

I never had a problem when I was younger, but as I get older (I’m not even that old) it gets harder. Not REALLY hard or anything, but having to pause to remember how old I am sometimes makes me feel a bit slow.

This is half the problem for me!

_spiffy,
@_spiffy@lemmy.ca avatar

But I’m only 33! So part of the challenge is also remembering what day it is today lol

I have a daughter who is 6 and a son who is 4. So when people ask what year they are born I need to try and do reverse math.

This event is awesome. I would strongly encourage anyone mildly interested to try it out.

sithbelle, to fediverse

So I'm definitely missing something with Lemmy...I've tried creating an account on their site, but it's never gone through. I know we get the same stuff on kbin as we do on Lemmy, but I was curious to try both out.

Surely it's not the same account for both, right?

I tried creating my account on Lemmy about a month ago, and it just kept doing the scrolly-wheel of doom and it never appeared to go through. I tried again today to see if it would work now, but, when I try to create the account, it says that it already exists, but trying to log in does nothing.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Which lemmy site? Lemmy.ml is closed for registration as far as I know.

I don’t see a point in defederating. As long as the only data they get is the content of my posts and votes and replies I don’t care. More people in the fediverse strengthens it and splitting up into kingdoms is basically what we have now. Defederation should be done only if being federated is harmful to the users here.

It would be nice to see a post detailing why you are defederating this instance from threads.net
